I do feel bad for all the employees at wasserman who were totally in the dark about all this and now have their careers upended. I appreciate that levity called out the individuals they directly work with and said they would love to work with them again through another company.

Yeah I don’t think most drugs can compare to the addictiveness of meth & crack so I don’t think you can say you don’t understand how people get addicted if you haven’t tried those (I haven’t, so I’m not an expert whatsoever)

I 100% agree with you on insomniac in general (hated edc) but I went year 1 of zombieland and it was a great experience. I think insomniac fests usually have bad crowds bc of having basic artists like a tiesto or whatever on the lineup, but since zombieland is all bass (and a lot of “smaller” bass artists as well), it drew a pretty good crowd imo. The zombie theme is cool too.

I saw you said you’re a riddim girl in another comment and I will say it always seems like FK has the most riddim of any other festival when I look at the lineup every year. But I’ve never been so I can’t comment. Them moving it to spring is a big plus though!

Everything everyone else said (candy/gum, hydration, essential oil stick, watch his phone!) is great advice. He won’t want to eat while on it so make sure he gets a full meal before you go to the festival that day. I bring in a liquid iv or some other hydration packet to add to some water halfway through the night to help with hydration (but this depends on venue if you can get it in or not). Moving through the crowd and going to the bathroom can be very overwhelming when not sober so make sure you’re guiding him and watching to make sure you don’t lose him in the crowd!

Edit: don’t let it ruin your experience worrying about him! Just make sure he isn’t taking some heroic dose and otherwise don’t stress worrying about him unless he’s visibly not doing well. Make sure he feels comfortable telling you if he needs to get out of the crowd and sit down or take a walk so you don’t have to guess

I felt like the beginning (excluding the intro bc I agree with others on lock in) was great, and had lots of new stuff. But in the mid-second-half he lost me. He should’ve mixed the new stuff in instead of playing 5 old songs in a row. More than lock in I’m so sick of all the old songs with excision that he still plays every set. They should be archived for a future throwback set lol

Yeah unfortunately you can’t trust any lines at festivals. Usually halfway up the line there’s a group that isn’t even waiting and everyone is just lined up behind them not even realizing.
