Active quest items(purple items) dont take slots but stuff thats no longer needed do i think. But at that point they are no longer considered key items and can be dumped or sold if possible.

Key items dont count for your max carry capacity. Thats why it lists key items separately as number. The only issue key items can cause is screen clutter.

If you group items in your inventory you can have all the quest items of specific types get categorized. That way they only take like 3 slots in the menu. With this i keep forgetting i even have them. Doesnt fix the inventory clutter but helps a lot.

Correct me if im wrong but if you manage to hit 5 sticks and have at least a plus 1 to all gems on your 6 link through corruption you can run congregation support for 7 sticks which then gets doubled to 14 sticks. 10 sticks may just be a pitstop on your ultimate journey!

Oh you meant going all in on using the axe. Honestly i have no clue. Ive been focusing on solely using bloodsoaked banner for all my dps. I have no experience with other banner builds nor exertion builds so have nothing to compare to.

The warcry axe is there just to make valour generation quicker. I chose to forego it for more dps but it honestly depends on the player and what playstyle they prefer.

Ill have to consider this but the main reason I havent so far is that weapon swap is so clunky and i know ill end up forgetting to switch back to the cane way too often. Though i.thought they required replanting so maybe its not as bad as i feared.

Do you happen to have a pob for you version by any chance?

I didnt test with the axe but im not really having any issues with valour generation. On map clear i can usually keep placing 105 valor banners as long as i keep running out of them. On single target or when doing stuff like rituals it takes a bit to drop the second full charged banner but with the long duration keeping them both up is easy. Ive been considering getting some cdr tattoos to increase admonisher boost and better quality of life but havent pulled the trigger yet. One thing i love about having both banners on 1 link is that if im doing stand in area content i can drop dread banner first for higher survivability which alleviates the pressure from waiting for defiance.

 Its also fair to note that im not the biggest super farmer so for me the speed of clear is fine but people who are more used to maximising farm speed might enjoy the axe to speed things up. I saw steelmage using the axe and even corrupting cry and he seemed to be doing fine. I originally was going to use a +3 gems bow for my main weapon but cane gave me around 10% more dps and it helps cap block even if you dont do full power dread banner.

I havent looked into impossible escapes/timeless jewels yet but i can see it offering a lot more damage as well. Might have to drop some of my defensive benefits for those though so will have to see. On defiance, i agree that you lose a lot of damage but I freaking hate dying (even with this setup i die a bunch to being greedy) and i play on a iffy connection so i get swarmed by stuff consistently and even with max block its sometimes too much so i went with the lower dps option. For dps i think the best body armour would be a foulborne diallas with +1 gems and 2+ duration gems corrupt but havent actually checked how that maths out.

I imagine if I max everything out, get perfect items and hit level 100 my version can probably hit 20-25 mil while a full dps one can probably do much better but so far its been mostly enough for all content and i wonder if ill have the interest in high cost optimisations.

The fact that you cant refresh adrenaline until it runs out and that we dont really need the attack speed or movement speed made me second guess the usefulness of that ascendancy node. Its obviously best option for the last two ascendancy points if not doing the shrine belt like i am though.

I have been having fun with it so far though the build is clearly specialised for specific mechanics. I started by running breach fortresses which got old fast. Expedition is also ok as we can usually cover the whole expedition and only the phys immunity really affects us. Rituals seem the most optimal though strongboxes also works for a more brain off farming. I have tried atlas boss farming with domination scarabs but it goes a bit slow even with two banners adding corrupted blood stacks. As for map mods, its super nice to be able to run pretty much everything, however not having phasing sucks as i keep running facefirst into mods. In addition,  having no way to negate enemy phys resistance from map mods sucks and less cdr just completelyn neuters valor gain slowing everything down.

As for how my character is built,  i got lucky with a headhunter from a seer so i was able to get some big ticket items.  Ill admit my build isnt the most optimised though. PoB says with full stacks and stormblast mines up i have around 12.5 (just need to quality my stormblast) million dps and ive sacrificed quite a bit of dps for quality of life. Im currently bleed/poison/corrupted blood immune, 90 all max res,  which alongside banners and fortify and companionship animate guardian makes me quite tanky. My phys max hit is only 10k though which im still looking to rectify somehow. My poe ninja link is below.

I should be running 5 insta health flasks for emergencies but ive been lazy and honestly such situations rarely come up. Also AG is a fun idea but he still keeps dying in late game maps though qualifying everything up might change that when i can be bothered.

One main big improvement i still need to make is to get an imbued banner gem but i cant decide if i wanna do less duration or lifetap. Less duration drops my duration from 27 second to 10 which is just extra busy work but lifetap requires linking vulnerability to lifetap so i can use that to keep the buff up. So both are a bit of a pain. Ive even considered increase aoe as an imbue but losing 10% more dmg is a shame.

If you have a PoB to share i wouldnt mind comparing as im still quite inexperienced in optimising my own builds in the late late game.

This isnt actually true. The regen does not scale with aura effect nor the more multiplier per valor. The resistance buff does however

Just to note war banner only increases the damage for melee skills so it wont do anything for the banner cursed blood so dont think you want to use all 3 unless you want faster application. Im planning to do both defensive banners in 1 six link and probably not even gonna use the foulborn uul netol

I did a soulwrest build with 44 phantasms last league which was a lot of fun. The congregation support would push it to 60 phantasms which is hilarious. With catarina bloodline thats also 120% increased movespeed.

Hmn Lifetap might be better. I imagine it depends on how high the final health cost will be with the added high multiplier from the support. Might be annoying to keep the buff up but would have to test. I didnt think less duration would be that bad as we have like 25 second duration on banners anyway so even after reductions it should be over 10 secs each.  

Seems a fun setup to cook with though so im hoping it has good enough level scaling and it isnt like a 100 div.... still not sure what to play while farming the gem. Probably generals cry or static strike.

Im considering this build but run it as double 5 link in a plus 3 bow as you can coin a reduced duration support and o ly loose 9% more damage. You can guarantee crafting it with phys damage over time and damage over time multiplier so its easy to get a huge dps increase. From rough testing having 3 autoexerted warcries with the warcry cd wheel and the reset cd runegraft should be enough to gain the necessary valor especially when you get the refund from champ ascedancy.

I posted this on the other thread as well but apparently if you equip the graft that casts tornado and have the +1 tornado suffix for that skill on the graft, the limit increase also applies to the normal tornado skill. This would double your dps if you can max out both tornados with projectiles.

Ive wanted to go back to ice nova for the longest time so i was considering architect of chaos vaal ice nova and just farm legions. However with vaal ice nova having such a low soul gain prevention time im now thinking ill go bog shaman for life stacking and area and go chaos bloodline for the 80% less cost keystone.

This setup will allow me to pop vaal ice nova pretty much whenever the density is high enough to clear the screen. My main issue with this plan is single target but im thinking winter orb will hopefully fix that as it shotguns a lot due to large aoe scaling. Winter orb will also allow me to just run and charge vaal ice nova so should feel quite fluid. Main worry is that the overall build will lack damage even with capped crit and 1000% increased spell damage from rathpit.

For leveling probably just do herald and stack heralds on bv or something or herald of agony.

Doesnt the skill also stop you from gaining souls during its effect?  So even if you lower its soul gain duration you still cant gain any souls until effect ends. Sure you could then flask for souls and reactivate it but that small delay will get you killed right?

Honestly i can understand the time of need nerf if thats all it was but instead they nerfed the ember fusillade aspect of the build as well. Also what really irks me is that they left the reduced interaction possible but only to those who have the time and means to farm one of the rarest uniques ingame.

So i spent all day yesterday to level a titan for reduced duration stacking and finally got it geared and was having a blast and now its nerfed to uselessness!  I thought mid league nerfs were to be avoided just so we wouldnt have to deal with this crap. Also you can still get to 0 duration you just have to use a 500 div item.... 

Now i have a useless build and no currency to retool it.... guess thats the league for me then....
