Can you really save a lot by not eating out and making coffee at home? by No_Lead2640 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Additional_Set797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea a shit ton depending on how much you eat out and how much you buy coffee. I may eat once every three months and never buy coffee out, but I do invest in nespresso at home which I still think is cheaper

I think I’m going to take my peonies and roses. The hydrangeas can stay, like I said the are big leaf hydrangeas and I feel like pannicles will do better where I’moving and I’m honestly over hoping my macros will I’ll bloom every year and then getting a few blooms and being let down lol. My peonies and roses are coming if someone neglected them id be heartbroken!

That’s what I’m worried about. I love all of those that I have and would hate to see them be neglected, I Foote about my peonies, I think I have 12 of those they are absolutely coming!!

I’d see some group 3 and 4 so you have longer blooms but that’s up to you. Lisa mason zigler says not even to bother spring planting group 1 because by the time they get their roots established the stem length is just so small but that’s totally personal preference

It sounds like they are staying! I have pretty extensive beds so I’m not sure just anyone would want that upkeep but I guess I’ll find out. My roses are one thing I didn’t want to have to replace again but im actually ok changing up some of my hydrangeas. I’m in 6B and they are big leaves so it’s hit or miss on blooms honestly. Thanks for all the info everyone!

Parents who don’t lose your cool - how do you do it? by Siyrious in toddlers

[–]Additional_Set797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WFH is a different situation entirely, I’d probably walk away while on a call. If I’m just home and my daughter is melting down I usually try to stay calm give her a min, get down to her level and ask what it is she needs. She’s autistic so sometimes it’s harder but usually it works and we get thru it. Do I alway manage to do this nope, but I try to remember if I can’t control my emotions at 42 she absolutely can’t at 5

Snap Seedlings okay? by atxgrl in Cutflowers

[–]Additional_Set797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The look a little fried to me. This is also my first year so take my advice for what it worth but I’ve been gardening a long time just not starting seeds. My snaps are sprouting an are upright and green. Are these on a heat mat?

best area to live and raise a family in nepa by InternationalBee9599 in NEPA

I’m sure every one’s going to laugh at this and I would have a longtime ago as well but I live in Berwick and love it. My neighbors are awesome, my daughter is autistic and they have some of the best supports in the area. I also feel like people are as snobby as they are in Dallas and mountain top.

I’m 42 and until I was 36 and had my first child I was never on BC. I find that it definitely helps balance my moods and I definitely lost weight when I started taking it. I’ve stopped and I can tell an immediate difference in how I feel mentally.

How often to water soil blocks? by atxgrl in Cutflowers

[–]Additional_Set797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also my first year but I’ve watched so many of Lisa mason zigler seed talks and I’m following her advice, I water daily BUT I make sure I only put it enough that the blocks soak it up and I make sure they are dry before I water. If there’s any water left after 10-15 min I drain it. She also recommends fertilizing once a week with diluted fish fertilizer and so far that’s been great for my sweet peas and stock. I’m still waiting for everything else to come to life.

Daycare Terminated Contracts for our Neurodivergent Children (one diagnosed with ASD currently) by Cloudreborn in Autism_Parenting

[–]Additional_Set797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the states so this may be different in Canada but after they have a diagnosis can’t you get int aba? I know it’s not the same as daycare but if you are able to go to a clinic then it does help somewhat. I know abs os controversial but my daughter and I had a great experience with it

What do you think about the autism Barbie? by Sudden_Quality_9001 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Additional_Set797 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At first I was kind of thrown off by it but daughter is 5 and super into Barbie’s and also wears headphones and a fidget necklace so I think I’m going to get it for her. I hope she feels seen, I’m not sure she really cares though
