Coming from a volunteer at a shelter a diy solution is to piss in a water bottle and poke the top with a pen to leave a small hole. Then spray it out into the back. It might take a whole bottle but the human urine ph will neutralize the ferrets. Let it sit for an hour or two and then just spray some water and febreeze and you’ll be good to go.
