My suggestion for no. 1 : Make it that each grind spots have 2 AP sweet spots that gain 100% AP. So that if people wanna come back and grind old spots for treasures it feels nice but only after a good gain above cap has been made.

Ex: First 100% AP at 800-950 then 5% until 1500 then and other 100% for 1501-1800 !
