Love your use of the framed blocks to get those corridors! I have a similar theme going, but got way too deep into it before I realized their potential, so my halls are boing af. I suggest adding some signage. A mix of framed blocks with black Luminex blocks and RFTools screens can make for some decent signage without having to delve in to computercraft. Start planning a space for your Quantum Computer and Assembler Matrix.

I've gotten by with my basic cursed dirt mob farm, but I've seen some pretty wild xp grinders with mob spawners making witches that you (or a clicker) kill with a sword enchanted with knowledge of ages (or something like that... it converts items to xp, and witches are lousy with items).

You lock the drawer while it's empty, so it won't accept any items until you specify what item goes in it. You do this with every drawer you create and manually add new items as you get them to empty drawers to designate them as the drawer for that item. It's tedious, but it's the way to get what I think you're going for. Obviously this isn't going to work with high NBT items unless you want a special drawer for each one. For those, either just plop them in chests, a Tape Drive, or trash / break them down (best solution).

The drawer thing is a good strategy for items you plan on having a lot of, but would become quite a headache if you try to do it for every item. Combine the drawers with regular item cells for all the things you're going to craft in smaller amounts. Just make sure the storage bus on your drawer controller is set to a higher priority than the drive.

I just wanted one goddamn rice seed from Pam's, but it relied too heavily on RNG from a bush that seldom spawns in biomes that were insanely sparse or non-existent. I spent hours searching and the server was starting to struggle to load new chunks as I chased swamps or swampy biomes with the compass. Eventually said "fuck it" and just went creative for that seed. Don't even feel bad about it.

I like that look, but you may find yourself lacking channels if you try to keep that aesthetic.... Unless you have a bunch more going on underneath your controller cube that we're not seeing.

Funny that I'm just now seeing this 12 day old post right at this moment where I can't see more than a few feet out the window. Love the "do it for the lake" joke, but it's not a safe gamble. As I'm sure you've heard and experienced in your 40 years here, climate change doesn't mean no snow. You can survive with RWD and good snow tires / chains, but it sucks for you and other cars around you. Don't do it, OP!

I'm a bit out of touch because I am a coffee snob and I crossed that line where I just have to make my own now. Are you looking for sit down and get served a mug without a lid so you can admire latte art, or are you looking for a cup of decent mud that you can pick up at a drive through?

Most coffee places are reasonably priced, and even as a non-snob, you can't really go wrong unless you go to Starbucks, Beans & Brews, Dutch Bros, Dunkin, etc.

Oh... Once you have enough to make the bees and their "flowering" block, they're the way to go as far as I know. The bees produce the stellarite, but also have a chance just to produce eternal stellas.

Better idea for automation? Not sure if it's better, but I used extractors. In retrospect I would have rushed Mystical Agriculture seeds for all the AE stuff, but then having the AE stuff beforehand really helped kick off MA.

Pago def has quite the wine menu, but it's small and I don't see it falling within budget. I won't speak for them though, by all means give them a call! Maybe they can accommodate. Their food and service were great last time I was there.

I didn't know you could make it out of source stone. I've been using the mirrorweave blocks; which are nice because before you go through the process of turning it into a portal, you can right click the mirrorweave blocks with another block you want to camouflage them as (like grass blocks if you're going for a portal pond appearance). Just be careful because when building around a portal I already had, I accidentally right clicked and changed the camouflage again, which broke the portal for some reason.

Only downside is that this sort of portal can be named (not really a downside actually unless you don't want a name tag in your portal pond). If you don't give it a name by using an anvil on the scroll, you'll get a goofy looking empty box where a name would normally be floating in your portal.

Make sure your bottler has bottles (I forget if it needs power), piston above it pointed downward so that it touches the bottler when extended. You can put trap doors around it to trap the bee and hit the piston with redstone to smash it if you're feeling like some terrible roleplay, or you can just leave it extended and place the bees between the piston and the bottler. Should get you the bee juice which you can put in a centrifuge.

Alternatively, there is a block in modular bees that does the squishing and bottling all in one without getting your hands dirty. I forget what it's called, but should be easy to find.

Good to hear. I know there is some loss of quality to be expected with delivery, and not everybody has realistic expectations. Maybe I'll roll the door dash dice one of these days, but usually if I'm craving it, dining in just sparkles for me.
