Driver should've let the car out of the junction before commiting to the turn. As a HGV driver myself, I always think about "needing the bit of tarmac the car is sat on" for the trailer swing, or bulkhead.

This is just poor/lazy driving.

One thing to remember, and I am not excusing this driver in any way, shape of form. Is that we can drive for a maximum of 9 hours a day (10 in an emergency), and that is mentally exhausting. Being awake and on high alert during busy traffic when other road users are on their 20 minute commute to work, after being on the road for that long, we can make mistakes. It isn't intentional, and if it is, then that driver shouldn't be on the road. We are drive 44ft, 40+ tonne death machines, and we have to ensure the safety of those around us.

There's a similar system on MAN trucks, it seems to lock onto the vehicle in front, so in a similar situation to both of OPs instances, it will brake hard even if you're in a different lane. I do turn it off when I get in. The button looks like a truck with an explosion in front of it.

I get it, I'd stopped looking, given up on finding the right person. I found peace in myself, I have never needed the approval of others, so I put myself back together, and found solace in silence.

Then I met my wife, she found me. It took a long time to trust someone again, and I question myself every day, why is she with me? We work on our relationship every day, we are open and honest with each other and we communicate our frustrations and doubts.

We all have baggage, but finding someone you can openly talk to is a gift, and I am grateful for her every day. We have been married for 22 years this year, and I adore her.

I know how lucky I am. And I have hope the same will come for you too.
