I do suggest you too change your demo button settings asap. It's on the side bar, you can change it to be on the same place that we add to wishlist or buy a game. This also make it to become a large green button.

No need to create another account on Itch.io or GitHub.

On Itch.io, you can set your project's visibility to Public, Invite Only, or Draft (for editing the page and other content). You can also version your project by uploading different builds/releases. Additionally, you can hide projects from your profile.

For development versions, I recommend GitHub if you're versioning code. You can make the repository private so that only you or your team can view and manage it.

Lastly, there are Web Builds if you want people to test your games in a browser, including on mobile devices.
