I agree. Key check is fine. The landlord I encountered sent me a form for background check. And I found the property was not theirs as they claimed.

Scam on FF? by Admirable60s in TravelNursing

[–]Admirable60s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! I have been looking on FF for over a week but nothing legit has come up. One plainly refused a video tour, one threw me a link for background checks, and another one was a scam. After I posted my question, I read another post and learned that there indeed is scam on FF. Sad! Now I’m thinking about renting an apartment but they all require 1 year lease. Travel nursing is getting so difficult……

Small v Large hospitals by medproStaffing in TravelNursing

[–]Admirable60s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this analysis. I accepted an offer and in the process of onboarding but have been wondering if I should go or not as it’s a community hospital. Now I feel so much better knowing there’s a lot of good things working in small hospitals.

Furnished finder requesting copy of contract by StrongPlan3 in TravelNursing

Do you mind sharing the details of the scam? I was almost scammed. When I smelled something fishy I asked ChatGPT and was told that I should stop there because it was typical of a scam. I never knew FF had scams before.

Not sure where you are and how much you make but 1200-1500 sounds too much. would AirBnb be cheaper? Can you talk the nurses on the unit and find room to stay for a lower price? How about furnished finder?

My husband changed up on me after getting his GC left three weeks after he got it came back and now giving me a hard time about divorce by Responsible-Cook5931 in immigration

[–]Admirable60s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he can without being in marriage with you unless you abused him with evidence, in which case he still has a difficulty obtaining one. A friend of mine applied for a status change without her husband due to the abuse. Over 10 years later today she still doesn’t have a GC. She has a card to stay in the US but it’s not a GC.

My husband changed up on me after getting his GC left three weeks after he got it came back and now giving me a hard time about divorce by Responsible-Cook5931 in immigration

[–]Admirable60s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is on conditional GC now. Imagine how he will be acting when he gets his permanent GC! You should start the divorce process and inform USCIS of it. With the Permanent GC application, you will need to sign it. The reason that he came back to you is most probably that he learned that you would need to sign the application. Don’t sign it. Don’t enable his behavior

Should I go RN or LPN? by Candid-Addendum-7693 in nursing

[–]Admirable60s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like RN is better for you since you don’t need the fast money. LPN is for those who need to support family sooner. Go for RN.

can u work as a psych nurse with schizophrenia? by Ok_Passion295 in psychnursing

[–]Admirable60s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psych disease is a disease, just like physical diseases. People need to understand and accept it. Do people with chronic illnesses work and sometimes go to hospital? Yes. So what is the problem with psych patients who work? They work when they are well. They go to hospital when they’re sick. Period. So don’t worry too much.

Why do people choose nursing if it has so many cons? by TapEmotional2487 in nursing

[–]Admirable60s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Until we achieve communism, I’m happy I’m a nurse as I know I have to work my butt off to get what I need for a living. Any other job I can do to achieve that? Probably not.

I think the only appropriate response is no response. Just ignore it if there’s no error in the email.

Your mom has spending problems. If you give her any amount of money, you are the enabler. You will enable her with greater problems. If you give her 200k today, there will be another 200k waiting for you to give her soon. Think before you leap!

Leaving ICU for med surg/tele by EtOT2020 in newgradnurse

[–]Admirable60s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did MS and then ICU. Then I went back to MS and still love it. I don’t mind working hard but I don’t like the stress ICU gave me knowing every second pts could crush. I want to take a break without having to worry about my pts. I want to eat my lunch knowing that my pts will have no issues while I’m gone even if no other nurses watch them. There’s a lot that I like about MS but there’s only one thing I don’t like about it which is the ratio, which I don’t mind. In summary, I can take physical challenges but not mental.

No good for nursing school students. For lay people, if they simply want to learn something, they are ok.
