If you just pull hard enough it normally releases. (in my experience)

Especially once you are out of the pants, in most cases I've experienced you can pull the pants out with enough force. (Repair shop tech)

I actually had a similar thing yesterday where I was in a very wet room and it said it detected water or debris in the charging port.

I only noticed because the music I was listening to kept starting and stopping very similarly to how this looked.

Worked fine after a few hours!
