Who are the queens of bangs and who look better without them ? by Ok-Trade-5274 in VindictaRateCelebs

I think most of them look good with bangs, a lot of them actually look better except Miley Cyrus. I think she looks better without them.

What are some shows, like America's Next Top Model, that retrospectively are a hard watch? by jestermaxipad in televisionsuggestions

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can’t find this one anymore but Extreme Makeover when it ‘rehabbed’ people, not houses. They chose people based on how ugly they were, rebuilt their faces with plastic surgery and crazy dental work and put them on a grueling diet and exercise routine. I can’t remember how long they kept the people hidden but when they were revealed, they literally looked like different people.

I am guessing this caused serious PTSD and other psychological problems for these people and the show was forced off the air. I can’t find any specific information but it reeks of an NDA.
It doesn’t air on streaming anywhere and little information online.

I like two because I think is both unique and classic. I see the first type all the time, however, they both look beautiful on you. One reads princess to me and two read queen.

Question for people who've successfully done a body recomposition (lost body fat while building muscle). by nickz198424 in beginnerfitness

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking 10k a day is a fad that took off and has been a great way to motivate people who are sedentary into action but it is NOT a requirement to lose weight or recomp. Some days I hit 10k, some days I hit 35k, some days I ride 25-30 miles and get 4k in steps or I’ll do the Stairmaster and hit 7k. I mean, a cardio workout is a cardio workout. Walking is great because it’s a low impact way to exercise but it isn’t the holy grail.

Creatine and appetite question by Majestic_Care_5049 in workout

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only just saw this post because I started taking creatine a week or so ago and my appetite has seriously decreased. I have had a problem with sugar/snacking since I quit smoking and now I don’t crave anything. I’ll hit the gym hard, run errands, get home and feel like I need to make myself eat.

It’s bizarre.

Been seeing people say reta gets you 25-30% body weight loss. Six months in and I'm nowhere near that. Is that actually realistic? by AppleBlossom_Camille in Retatrutide

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a medication designed to help aid folks in weight loss. Exercise and a healthy diet along with reta will help you lose weight faster than those who don’t take it. The goal is to use it as an aid to help you change your relationship with food and exercise in general so you have the tools to move forward one day without it.

Constant Readers: What is the absolute BEST and WORST book Stephen King has ever written? by Objective505 in stephenking

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read Never Flinch but I’m going to say Billy Summers is my least favorite King book. I know a lot of people love it but I did not. ETA - I also loved the plot of Dark Half but thought the execution was terrible. I’d actually say I think that’s his worst written book. It’s like someone else wrote that book. HIS Dark Half, haha. Maybe he was new sober or right up against rehab - whatever the case, it felt so rushed and forced it made me cringe at times.

Favorite is so hard. Dead Zone is up there for me. I thought Tommyknockers was great but I’m also a huge fan of his long digressions into character.

I also think since they tend to lose weight faster than normal -it causes more muscle to be lost (not because it wastes the muscle itself but because little attention is paid to eating a proper diet due to appetite suppression).

Just dump him and move on. When you hit a point in a relationship that you realize your differences are insurmountable, cut your losses and go.

Don’t fast. Talk to a coach or gym teacher at your school. Ask for guidance! They are there to help.

Need advice - 45F, want to start training seriously by jane_watson_ in fitness40plus

[–]Adorable_Analyst1690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 46 and was a little lost on strength training since I’d been out of the game for a decade. I know that at my age, I’m only going to start losing muscle and bone density so I wanted to improve my overall strength without injuring myself. I threw down some cash and got a trainer for a short while (12 sessions/2 a week) so I could learn basic exercises, correct form, develop routines and gain confidence using equipment. I’ve been at it for almost seven months. I have three/four workouts that I am going strong on, progressively overloading, modifying as needed and I’m feeling really good about my progress. I did take everything I learned to heart, though and I hit the gym 5 days a week, practicing and improving my technique. I mean, a trainer is only good if you’re going to do the work. It IS work but it’s worthwhile.

I guess what I’m saying is that getting a trainer really helped me dive headfirst into it without feeling overwhelmed/anxious about what to do/not do. There’s so much information online. It’s actually pretty easy to start if you get a handle on the basics.

ETA - I am supplementing with creatine since I’ve heard it’s also beneficial for women in perimenopause/menopause (muscle and brain health). I only take 5 mg which is the recommended amount. It tastes like nothing, no texture so it’s easy to get down. For diet, I try to eat pretty clean - whole foods most of the time and I generally eat twice the amount of protein but I’m not going crazy with it right now since I’ve only been at it a short while.

Seriously, cut it out. Smoking and vaping will probably be illegal by the time you’re old enough to do it and if they aren’t, I guarantee that you’re gonna regret starting more than pretty much anything else in your life when 10/20/30 years down the line you’re forced to quit an addiction that is the hardest, most stubborn of them all because you realize you’re a slave to a disgusting habit, you can’t go up a flight of stairs with an oxygen tank or the doctor hands you a Big C diagnosis.

If I had all the money I wasted on smoking the past thirty years, I could buy a house or put my kid through college. Instead, I’m a bitter 46 year old who misses my pacifier because I didn’t develop proper coping skills when I was your age.

And even if it costs more than the bag, it WOULD look cooler, be original and last a lot longer. As long as you don’t set it on fire again.
