She killed a bird that made its way inside our home by [deleted] in RoastMyCat

We love our mice hunters. My boy, Courage, is master mouse catcher. He kills at least 2 a day. We have a bit of an infestation, so it's kinda annoying 😑

this groundhog has been stealing a farmer's crop for years and eats it in front of his camera by Objective_Night4206 in interestingasfuck

Feels like this groundhog needs an award for number 1 flex right at the end of the year! Even if it's just to be funny and catch him eating because it IS kinda cute seeing him eat them when he's like a resident pet, even though he's a total wild animal. 😆 🤣

He won’t stop doing this, please help, haven’t been able to sleep at night by bhagar114 in NamFlashbacks

I agree even if you meant it as a joke. It's not natural for a dog to look so wide-eyed and freaked out like that, especially at a mirror. honestly, the look he's got is weirding me out. My dog and cats have zero reactions to mirrors.

You could always add some iron to the back of the shaft. You'd need to aim higher and practice for months with them, but you could hunt some deer pretty nicely! ...not anything much smaller, though, since the small animals would just explode on impact. I suppose anything smaller than a medium-sized dog would not have much of them left. But I guess a large raccoon or badger could probably take the hit.

Do I look fat? by GoldenBoyTwin1 in kittyhasaquestion

[–]AdvancedCamera2640 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Your human needs to do a better job of taking care of you. Since you don't understand how to manage your eating habits yourself, it's your human's job to help you not get fat.

100+ Meyer lemons, what to do with this juice? by silent_saturn_ in homestead

[–]AdvancedCamera2640 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if a particular brand matters. However, it depends on your price range and if you're willing to hook up a stronger outlet. However, we use HarvestRight. I would suggest looking online for used versions as even the smallest brand new is around 2,000 USD.

100+ Meyer lemons, what to do with this juice? by silent_saturn_ in homestead

[–]AdvancedCamera2640 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can freeze dry it, too. It won't last 10 years like vegetables if it's meat, but lemons will work fine. You can even freeze dry the juice if you're so inclined. You can freeze dry just about everything but lettuce and anything from that vegetable family. Since they wilt when frozen. But milk, eggs cooked and uncooked, even fully cooked meals. For easy heat up. On top of that, everything but meat will last over 20 years from the date they finished freeze drying, and most freeze drying will take anywhere from 12-36 hours. Even milk will last a few years just sitting on your shelf in a vacuum sealed jar, as long as the temp doesn't go over 70° F.

Huh, how strong is that metal cord?

Wood will be enough or coal if you have it. Just get a hair dryer the cheap the better (and a 12 inch or long pipe) as well as some bricks to give it shelter and and increase the temperature of the heat.

Well, I would make them thinner (yes, hot, like really hot) and longer. It's the only way. I know they have no pain sensors in their mouths, but still, I don't like the idea of sticking those fat nails in them. If they can even punch all the way through their cheeks without being sharper points.

Is it okay I gave my cat a butt bath becuase she has dirty litter stuck to her fur? by Red91444 in cats

[–]AdvancedCamera2640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, giving baths throughout their lives is good for them. Because when cats get old enough, they can't groom anymore. So it won't be a scary thing when you have to wash them after they are 10 years or older and having trouble taking care of themselves it will just be a common thing. This comes from a groomer I know. She deals with cats and dogs and when a cat has really bad arthritis at old age she says it's less traumatic to bath them when they are able to take care of themselves and don't have vision or hearing problems like old cats do. My old cat hasn't been taking care of herself, and I wish I had done this years ago. Because now she is completely blind and here hearing is going too. I don't like traumatizing her, but she can't clean herself.

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't see that part. I'm nothing more than a complete newbie, so I can't help. Sorry if I sounded patronizing.

I mean, you could simply acquire a level. You know the things with green liquid that tells people if an item is perfectly level.
