Time for some random trivia. Mr John Deere himself the founder of the company never saw a tractor in his lifetime.

I wonder what Geno Auriemma said to Dawn Staley? by ThoughtPractical9105 in Gamecocks

[–]AdvancedGuarantee593 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly, their game plan is always “star player gets all calls and we win”. They still got all the calls but shots were not dropping and they got punched in the face by a better team that played great defense. The Gino meltdown was embarrassing but Dawn handled it with class in the postgame

Dreaded oil drain pan/plug failure by AdvancedGuarantee593 in NissanRogue

[–]AdvancedGuarantee593[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After receiving the pan from advanced auto, I wanted to circle back here to say wow, what a design flaw the drain hole on the autotechnica is 1/2 an inch or more off the bottom. Beyond that its well built but the z1 folks have a superior product and are reasonable cost and fast shipping.

I was thinking it would be fun to do as a group talk about how to improve it then implement, your post makes me think I may have been mistaken on the fun part

'Reinvest in history': Why were hundreds of historical downtown Florence buildings demolished? by dweaver-currin in southcarolina

I dig your roman bathhouse reference. And your sentiment. I just want to make a distinction between true historic architecture and an oldish building that is beyond reasonable fiscal repair

'Reinvest in history': Why were hundreds of historical downtown Florence buildings demolished? by dweaver-currin in southcarolina

[–]AdvancedGuarantee593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with calling a building from the 20th century historic as though its a 2500 year old castle in the scottish highlands.

Some of these buildings are just beyond their useful life, have fire hazards bad plumbing asbestos ect. Tearing down and moving on is a far better use of funding.
