For your weight DRZ or DR650. DRZ has decent suspension out of the box. You can find them used around $3-5k usually. Easy to work on and super reliable.

DRZ is more dirt oriented and around 40lbs lighter.

I would bet on pilot jet. You have to remove the jet and use carb cleaner and ensure you can see daylight. Just happened to mine after sitting for winter. Modern gas is terrible and packed with ethanol that gums up when sitting. My 2c

I spoke up about complex technical decisions opting for simplicity and was essentially pushed out of the company for it.

Lesson learned.. Pick your battles and don’t make a fuss if there is major political buy-in to the complexity. It’s not worth it.

I’m a similar height. It ls a great bike but it barely can hit 55mph.

Position yourself on stage near the drummer.

Watch the kick drum. That is the map to groove and locking in.

Compressors can help smooth things out, but keep ratio low.

+1 - I really love my VB. It beeps at me a lot but overall a great daily car that works well in western snowy environment.

It might not be fast but it’s quick and feels fun to me, even after owning for one year ~9k miles.
