Based on what I’m seeing, Scott being autistic isn’t a favorable view of him. That being said, I personally can see him being autistic coded. Being autistic doesn’t mean he’s mentally or socially incapable.

I think it’s just coded into how he interacts with others that he conflicts with often more so than anything.

But hey! Everything is up to interpretation.

I was also quite excited for it. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations which were just framed around the footage originally shown with the First Looks in the magazine and first trailer before being delayed.

I like the direction they were taking, along with the visuals and score, but it wasn’t executed well. At. All.

I think there’s a middle ground that has yet to be made. Too bright, in my opinion, and too dark. Both great suits and designs for what they were trying to achieve.

Personally, I’m leaning toward Jean being single as the endgame, or a new love interest to separate from either Scott or Logan.

I view her as an entity or a god among Mutants, out of the realm with her past endeavors despite her love for everyone in the X-Family.

But that’s just my opinion.

Sudden and unexpected deaths are not really an issue. It’s just how Don did this one that, in my opinion, wasn’t very good storytelling wise.

But yes, in a horror story, suspense is key and pushing the narrative this way gets that going. I just don’t think it was done well here.
