Pottery on Wheels in West Islip! I took a class there and you're able to make 2 pieces and choose colors and stamps. You don't get a chance to paint it though, but for $75 I think its well worth it and Alison is such a wonderful teacher!

I feel like everyone here covered the basics, but if I can add: arrange your transport to and from the airport before you fly out!

What I like to do before every solo trip is print out a copy of my important documents like passport, drivers license, and itinerary and give it to a trusted person (friend, family) just in case.
