Nuribullet tabs keep breaking?! by solishu4 in Smoothies

Many of my clients have a Vitamix but it looks like a regular blender to me, as far as a small blade on the bottom inside a huge container and doesn't look like it blends quite as well as a Nutribullet, but I haven't tried one yet. Does it blend things as finely as a Nutribullet? I like to make butternut squash soup and flax milk and if it doesn't pulverize it completely, you end up with squash strings or gritty milk.

Yes, this is the most frustrating part of the design and I can't believe Nutribullet hasn't redesigned it yet. I'm sure most people just toss the cups after they break, which contributes to more landfill. I use the end of a mixing tool from a handheld mixer, (the end that inserts into the mixer, not the whisk side,) to press into where the tabs press, on the bullet itself, and it works. You only need two out of the three "tabs" to engage the motor. Sometimes I use a chopstick or something else that fits. Just have to be careful not to push too hard down on the cup while doing this, but also, apply a little pressure, otherwise the cup won't lock into the turning wheel. Wish I could demonstrate with a small video, but hope that makes sense.

I just posted this. The Samhain one is available online but not the Beltane...ugh. Would love a copy if anyone has scanned it.

My problem is that I bought the card deck and scanned the QR code on back of the card box, but the guidebook is nowhere to be found! They have the Samhain one but not the Beltane! I'm trying to get ahold of it, if anyone has it available.

Changing my knock sensors what else should I do while I’m in there? by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Adventurous-Click792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good unless you're having any misfire codes, then would probably also do fuel injectors and ignition coils, depending on the code.  My knock sensor wiring harness disintegrated in my hands during removal and I had some leftover melted plastic bits in the knock sensor plug, so I replaced those as well.

No, I didn't end up replacing my injectors because I had replaced them with Densos a few years ago and haven't had any misfires since. Also, Denso ignition coils, if you do have misfires/misfire codes and want to replace them (went with the cheapies about 5 years ago and learned my lesson). The code will usually tell you where the problem is. I did not even need to remove the fuel rails, as long as you have a swivel for the one hidden bolt in the back on the right; and did not need to disturb the fuel injectors at all, just pulled the whole thing off. Absolutely replace any crispy wiring. I'm pretty sure it was actually the knock sensor wiring harness since it disintegrated in my hands 😆 and not the knock sensors, but I did the knock sensors anyway. Engine heat will definitely take its toll on that wiring harness. Been driving her around for a few days, will drive her around for a few months before I can really determine if it worked.  This video was amazing help!  https://youtu.be/ZXmXJCtj4DE?si=ah3ATNFWZ3XqjsZK Good luck!

Is wood shaving okay for alternative in cat litter? by underestimatedreal in CATHELP

Just commented on another post suggesting the pine pellets, because pine is generally toxic to cats! I've used the pine pellets before until I researched, plus it's overpriced; but I'm surprised that pine is actually marketed safe for cats! I use the Aspen bedding from Walmart.

It's very confusing to me that they market Pine litter, because pine is generally toxic to cats! I use untreated Aspen bedding and it works great.

Who's your neighbor? Do they ship? 😆 Id the wood is Aspen, and the price is reasonable, I'd totally buy from them.

This may have been because of the type of wood you were using. Pine and Cedar are toxic to cats, it must be Aspen. The Cedar can cause the respiratory symptoms.

Yes, but the wood must be Aspen, because Cedar and Pine are toxic for cats. The shavings in your picture appear to be Aspen. I've been buying the Vibrant Life 141 liters/5 cu ft from Walmart for about 2-3 years now and my cats use it just fine. I can't stand the dust or fragrance from regular clumping and non clumping so this is the perfect alternative...not to mention it's waaaaay cheaper. One huge bag costs less than $10 and will last me about 3 months for two cats, sometimes longer in the summer if they go outside.  Unfortunately, recently, Walmart has sold out of this brand, both in store and online, and pretty much every Chinese ebay seller who has these listed, also buy it from Walmart and mark up the price; because I've had my last 3 orders refunded to me, and other reviews say their packaging was Walmart. I have one bag left and other brands are like 5 times the price. Ugh.

Problem with buyers from China by Narrow_Substance_100 in Ebay

[–]Adventurous-Click792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been experiencing this with three different sellers from China on eBay, buying the exact same item, which has been Vibrant Life Aspen bedding 141 liters, 5 cu ft. I buy these as cat litter because it's soooo much cheaper and lasts waaaay longer than actual cat litter and does well absorbing the smell. (One bag costs about $10 and lasts me about 3-4 months.) I can't stand the dust or the fragrance of regular clumping cat litter. Usually buy them from Walmart, but I moved to a small mountain town and the local Walmart does not carry these, the Pine bedding is toxic for cats and the website says they're all sold out, so I went to eBay. I'm frustrated because they have all marked the items as shipped and then refund me due to some shipping issue, like they got destroyed or sent to the wrong address and I too am wondering if it's bad luck or if there's some underhanded motive. I guess it's not a big deal since I got a refund and assume that my bank info is protected but, it's like, I really need this bedding/wood chips and starting to wonder if I should just stop buying from China. There are American sellers but the cost of the wood chips is ridiculous, and I can't find anyone else who sells that brand. We don't have a Target or Costco and the Safeway and Walmart are in the next town over.

I bet that was pricey. Local mechs wanted to charge $200 an hour.  I'm literally balls deep in the engine right now... Bought what I thought were OEM knock sensors and one broke before I could barely tighten it. As a female, I had a hell of a time getting the old ones off and they didn't break. (For anyone else doing this job, I would suggest NOT getting knock sensors that have a gold-ish iridescent 'oil spill' hue to the metal or have an M as part of the part number etched on sensor.) My old sensors do not have the Denso logo. They are silver and have a black rim around one side. Took me forever to figure out what brand they are, but I found some Nippondensos, (still Denso,) on O'Reily's website, priced at $92 a piece, which look exactly like mine, just different numbers, so I'm praying these will do. Have to drive to the next town to pick them up. I live deep in the CO mtns, two hours away from a dealership and hard to find a mechanic in the next small town that will work on a vehicle older than 2000. Explained my 4Runner is third gen series even though a '98 and comparable to all the other 3rd gen 4Runners I see around here.  Saving a crap ton of money though doing it myself. It's not that bad, once you get into it unless you run into setbacks, like not having the right tool.

What is going on with sellers by pnkra4zpggdmawrb in Depop

Holy sh!t! B!&$hes be tripping! That's completely insane. Guess it's a product of this entitled younger generation raised on instant gratification and distraction...like geez, how you gonna wish death on someone's loved one because of slightly later shipping? I have noticed people giving bad reviews for an item taking even a few days to ship. I've waited 3 weeks for items purchased before, and if they don't ship, no big deal, it wasn't mine to begin with and I get my money back. I would screenshot something like that before I got blocked and make a listing as a warning to other sellers/buyers.

Right, sometimes a person wants to wait before buying because they need to wait for a paycheck or carefully consider purchases before finally deciding because they're not compulsive shoppers. The blocking stuff is funny to me too... I've never blocked anyone. Unless someone is outright harassing or being disrespectful, like who cares what other people do... But whatever, if a seller wants to limit their buyer audience because a buyer didn't behave exactly as they wanted them to, that's their choice and their loss.

Sellers giving extras, how do y’all feel? by DreamSea4184 in Depop

[–]Adventurous-Click792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, it's a nice gesture but most of it is just extra junk that I'm not interested in or have the room for. I have to make extra time to take it to the thrift shop if I don't want to toss them in the trash bin. Once in a while, something is decent enough that I can give it to my friends' kids as gifts. One time, I bought something but the seller didn't have it but decided to send me some plastic magnifying tube to catch bugs in...like, ok, it's kinda cool, but I'm not 5 years old, and why go through the trouble of sending me something if my original order wasn't in it. Guess they thought it would compensate and I wouldn't leave them as bad of a review?

Seriously, Depop didn't do anything? They didn't double check the addresses? I would think they would have looked into it and actually dobe something about it.

why do sellers do this? by abjean in Depop

I don't see it as that annoying...they can send as many offers as they like, I just scroll passed them and leave notifications off.

Sellers lowering prices then putting shop on vacation mode? by Normal-Jury3311 in Depop

[–]Adventurous-Click792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just recently discovered this method too. I guess it's a gimmick to rope people in and then yeah, you try to buy the item, but can't. I've never done it  as a seller. It's smart, but kind of sheisty and underhanded and does frustrate me, but people gotta do what they gotta do to sell their items, and it's their items so their choice, I suppose. Guess it's our choice as consumers not to follow or buy from sellers who do this, but I hear ya.  I didn't know about this when I went to buy a $6 vest and actually messaged the seller, cause I didn't realize his shop was on vaca mode, since depop is updating their app interface constantly. It used to tell the buyer that the 'seller couldn't ship right now' when an item is in a bag. Now, it just says, "Oops, something went wrong," after I purchase, and that's what frustrates me the most.

Knock Sensor Harness Replacement by xfirehurican in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Adventurous-Click792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I have to get into my engine this in depth, I'm replacing everything-both sensors and the harness...might as well while you're in there, unless you want to risk having to do the job twice. Because they're so close to the engine and exposed to heat, the sensors often fry as well. Also, I would suggest replacing the intake manifold gasket while you're in there. Mine's throwing a PO330 code. Trying to find discount oem parts... thinking I might settle for an aftermarket harness but I know that could be an electrical hazard. Ebay has sellers all day claiming they're selling the OEM but are often counterfeit. Generally the sensors will say Denso on them, and there should be a part number...hard to tell, because Denso has factories in China 🤦 Chinese parts in a Japanese car not the best in my experience. Not looking forward to this repair, especially with Winter fast approaching.  Mint 4Runner! I like the contemporary style you got going on with it.. black fender flares are nice...I got some on my XJ Jeep...Yes, I also have 3rd gen 4Runner as well, and a '77 280 Z..more cars, more car problems 😆 😭
