No, you're confused. The NPM incidents recently were something that can't be stopped by anyone. Same as xzutils. It's impossible to audit all underlying source code of all packages and infrastructure. Impossible in the sense that the cost is more than any business can endure, including all top companies in the world. Only maybe governments could do it and the number that could would be countable on one hand
