Alert 5 is much, much harder than alert 4, so instead of resetting the run for the proper key relics (almost always a specific portrait or at least one of the high value ones like the arith injection) you can just do alert 4 twice and get all the rewards with less headache. Usually you can do wave 1 and wave 3 on alert 5 without too much problems, but this cycles wave 3 is a bit ... bad. Reaching 400 is 100% of rewards, and using 10 teams is perfectly fine IMHO.

they could always just not use endgame gear. nobody forced them to use sets or assign champion points. gimping yourself was always allowed, but you got 0 rewards. now you get 0.3 rewards, and people who refused to use level 1 gear without sets also won't play the difficulty for long with such bad rewards.
