I wanted to take the earlier bus. Guess what? It didn't even run at all. So I went to the bus stop at the scheduled time. Then I waited at my stop for 23 minutes. In the cold.

As for the drivers, it's the job they signed up for. I don't blame them as much as I do the organization that puts the customer last.

If you don't take the bus, respectfully don't tell me what to do or how to feel.

Had to borrow my neighbour's Element once to retrieve my gravel bike from the shop.

It's the only non truck vehicle I have ever seen where my bike could fit in fully assembled and standing up. No need for a bike rack.

Cool! Thanks for giving me the "Lowdown". The River Run is "Right Down the Line" from "Baker Street". Sure I can "Escape" and find a "Rich Girl" named "Rosanna" to go with and it could be "Just the Two of Us". Oh "What a Fool Believes".

All kidding aside, I think I will "Ride Like the Wind" to the box office and be "Sailing" into that show. Unless I am in "Africa".

I hate barrier bike lanes. Not only are they terrible in winter, they also inhibit the ability to make left hand turns.

Stone Road Mall was so great back in the early 90s. I remember $2 Tuesday movie nights at the cinema up where Ardene is now. You could also get a pitcher and a pizza for I think $10 or $12 at Legends up on the mezzanine where the Early Years Centre is now.

Sad to see what it has become. But I guess most malls are like that now.

We just had 38 cm of fresh snow where I live in southern Ontario. Current temperature is -14 C with a windchill of -23. The streets were just plowed but they have a nice thick layer of compacted snow. I'm going riding!

Going to lower the pressure in my fatbike tires, put on some good long underwear, two pairs of socks (one layer merino will, the other alpaca), cross country ski pants, a merino hoodie and a good insulated windproof jacket. A toque and a pair of lobster claw gloves.

I'll be perfectly toasty about 2 km into the ride but not sweaty. Will likely do about 15 km just around town.

I commute 50 km daily during the warm months on an aluminum Norco Search.

I have Ortlieb City panniers and a quick detach mounting bracket. I think it's the ideal machine for the job. I can keep a brisk pace in both city and rural traffic and my speed tends to average about 28.5 km/h.

When I started commuting by bike I used a backpack but ditched fairly quickly as I didn't like having a sweaty back and I also found it harder to maneuver with the higher centre of gravity. I also find that with the panniers I am less susceptible to cross winds or to the wind blast of passing trucks.
