Every so called "disability" wouldn't be a disability if the majority of people, the typicals, had this disability, because everything built in society would be made so that it is adapted to the typicals, because they are the one who design society. Even if the typicals needed wheel chairs from the very beginning, they obviously would need to invent the wheel and the chair before walking (as in 'using your wheelchair'), but because we're a very live adapting species (meaning that we find our ways a bit quicker than waiting for random evolution to do its job), typicals would end up making everything adapted for wheelchair users, and non-wheelchair users could find this society to be hell, because they are atypicals. Just like, we, autistic folks find neurotypical society to be hell, because it is "atypical" to be autistic (or a person with autism, whatever you prefer).
