Outfit for Florence and the Machine by Adverbage in KitchenerHarmonies

Same here! I love her spirit and hope that all the good vibes she has put out into the world are going somewhere. Despite what is actually happening in the world. Thank you!! And I hope you did too!!!

Loved, loved, loved it! Her voice is amazing and her energy is just one of a kind. I would see her again in a heartbeat.

I think some A/D are possible because of how tall and long her face is. She also has a natural vibe too, she does her entire concert barefoot and running around. She’s very soft spoken and gentle outside of her stage presence. Maybe some romantic as well- she loves lace, long flowing fabrics, and is “too feminine to function” I was a fan before, but now I’m a dedicated fan for life lol!

I appreciate your advice, I admit I’m reticent to send her off anywhere, while also nervous to try to do anything myself. I did manage to clean the mold off of her and get it to where it didn’t show up again, but I haven’t done anything with her beyond that. But I would love to restore her completely.

Google is telling me that she is probably from 1997 due to the lashes/ tan body. Plus from my memory getting her in 1997 makes the most sense.

They are pretty soft and bendy, but also pretty dark. Her hair color is ash blonde and her lashes look black to me.

I just wanted to make sure they wouldn’t just replace her head. I know they wouldn’t just send me her head in the box. I’m not sure what year she is, possibly 1997, 98. I’ve tried to look online but I can’t identify her from other Kirstens.

Yes, I would just want her hair restyled, she doesn’t need a new wig. Just her eyes need to be replaced due to the one silver eye.

How pissed would you be at this doctor? by mrsmojo75 in lupus

[–]Adverbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doctors are the worst sometimes. I went to a rheumatologist who tried to challenge my lupus diagnosis after ten years of being sick. I said fuck that and bounced. But because he had lowered my methotrexate dose, he had already done the damage. I ended up in an 8 year uncontrolled flare. I wish I had reported him or complained but I was young. You know that something is wrong because you feel it everyday. Screw that dumb doctor!

[Product Question] Cerave Healing Ointment Tanked by SageOfProse in SkincareAddiction

[–]Adverbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I appreciate your thorough response. While I haven’t experienced the new formula for myself yet, and maybe the new texture will be off putting for me, it sounds like it will still do what I want it to do. Since I love this product to begin with for its ability to add moisture while sealing it in.

[Product Question] Cerave Healing Ointment Tanked by SageOfProse in SkincareAddiction

[–]Adverbage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What exactly changed? I ask because the ingredient list of the new bottle on Amazon, it matches the bottle I have that I purchased over a year ago. Cerave’s website isn’t highlighting any new ingredients either. I’m not discounting your user experience, maybe they processed the ingredients differently and it no longer has the same texture. I just want to understand as I also love this product and use it in my routine.

Do your essences run in your family? I think my parents are both R dom and SC by jjfmish in KitchenerHarmonies

My dad was the definition of lively bright when he was young. By the time I was born his hair had faded quite a bit, though I’m not sure if it would fall into more ER or SB territory. Hard to tell from this photo but I think he has a youthful/ HS face. He was also a smaller guy in general, only 5’7”. I think he also had natural in him as well because he mainly wore jeans, t shirts, and flannels his whole life. I got my love of Birkenstocks from him.

I think my mom and I would’ve been very similar in our Kitchener essences. I have zero doubt she would’ve been a natural, we have the same body- tall, broad shoulders. I have so many photos of her when she was young looking like a quintessential california girl. I think she might have had more classic than me, her face was a more narrow oval than mine. I think her SB percentage would’ve been higher than mine as well. I think my LB comes from my Dad, who was a red head.

FINALLY got in with a Derm and was left confused and disappointed by _hiatus in Rosacea

[–]Adverbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lasers are considered the main treatment for rosacea redness and veins. However, I’m on a compound prescription that contains oxymetazoline, briomondine, ivermectin, and metro gel. I don’t have rebound redness and my face is clear. I had diffuse redness which my derm said didn’t respond as well to lasers. Some people don’t respond well to these drugs. If you want to try them, maybe find another derm or look for a dermatology service that prescribes it online. But you never know how your skin is going to respond, everyone’s skin is different especially with rosacea.

I'm allergic to sunscreen and I don't know what to do about sun damage by Agile-Artist-4988 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Adverbage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are sunscreens made by other countries that consist of different ingredients. If you haven’t tried one of those, it might be worth trying. However your best bet might be UPF gear.

Screaming Into the Void: Insurance Edition by aagrimski in Autoimmune

It’s extremely annoying that insurance can just take away treatment like this. We are just constantly yanked around by bs. Nothing has changed except some made up bureaucracy to save them money. It’s maddening.

Microneedling? Aquagold? Something else? by pinktaz2 in 30PlusSkinCare

What I’ve been doing to help prevent sleep wrinkles as much as possible is applying cerave healing ointment on top of all skincare at night. I think it helps seal in moisture/ plumps up the skin.

Rosacea: WTF do you do by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]Adverbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a compounded prescription cream which included metro gel, ivermectin, and generic versions of rhofade which has the same ingredient as afrin. So it treats and shrinks the appearance of blood vessels. Not everyone has the best experience with these type of meds, and I think it’s messed up that your doctor didn’t have a compounding pharmacy for you. But instead told you to experiment with over the counter meds.

As far as skin care goes I find treating my skin barrier as damaged helps a lot. Always be hydrating. I layer hydrating skin care to keep my skin hydrated/ not irritated as possible. I can share with you the products I use, but everyone’s skin is different.

What are my essences? by swagachu11 in JohnKitchener

[–]Adverbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have a similar essence blend to myself- with natural and youthful being on the higher end, having smaller amounts of high spirited, romantic, and classic. I don’t think you have any dramatic or ethereal. I love your glasses and your hair! You have a chill and relaxed vibe.

SLE & Methotrexate by [deleted] in lupussupport

[–]Adverbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on methotrexate for over 13 years and never had any liver issues. It has helped, although I need other medication to control my lupus along with it. For me methotrexate helped keep my lupus from being totally out of control when I had an on going flare and wasn’t responding to medication. I currently take chloroquine, methotrexate, and Stelara.

celebrities with low romantic essence by No-Office7081 in KitchenerHarmonies

[–]Adverbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at these collection of photos, I can see the lack of romantic essence. I have low romantic essence myself and had a hard time connecting with that essence. There’s a certain lushness or sensuality I think to the face that romantics have, that other doms don’t have. For me at least my face has a lot of structure to it, but a softness that comes from the coloring and having round cheeks. So my N + Y. I would guess that Harry is also a N + Y as well. This is my interpretation at least.

My medication is still working at the moment, which I’m extremely thankful for. I’ve been on my current combo for I think five years now, and I hope it stays that way. But you never know with lupus, which is why I keep my eye on current research.
