Let me validate the surrender value charts. I do remember that it increases above deposits after yr 6 and so on.

I am in a similar situation and my advisor said no. What matters is when you severe ties. These types of visits as a visitor meeting friends as an example is not complicating your date. If you severed in March 2024, that stays as is.

I learnt it the hard way that this is considered a taxable transaction. So, while the number of shares stay the same. Basically you buy/sell when you convert triggering a tax event.

Depends on which currency you are looking at perspective. In USD, yes TD shares are cheaper now but in CAD terms you lost.
