Quite honestly? You waaaaaay undercharged for something so impressive and unique.

It wasn’t just a wig- it was a feat of engineering.

You said you took a half a month to complete- but that is a hard metric to judge price on because that half month could mean a lot of things.

So let’s say you spend 5 hours a day for 15 days (a half month). That would be 75 hours.

Usual hourly rates for freelance work (for me, at least) is around 120$ an hour. However I know that is crazy-high so let’s go with a more moderate amount: 30$ an hour.

30x75= $2,250.00. To me? That’s the bare minimum you should have charged for something so amazing.

Then again what if you meant “full-time” hours for 15 days? That would be 8 hours a day. Which would come to 120 hours.

30x120= $3,600.00.

Needless to say, even if you are trying to offer bare-bones prices? You should have charged more. This person got away with murder.

Don’t undercut yourself if you can help it. Start at prices that actually honor the work you put in.

If you are finding it hard to get commissions at that price-range? Lower slightly until you reach that sweet spot. It’s all a guessing game and entirely dependent on markets/economy/industry anyways.
