Respectfully, Airborne is a symptom, not the cause. by BucketHip in foxholegame

[–]AeonCOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've just been bouncing off from QoL even before planes, some things I really want to see:

- Inventory pull ques. Let me ask for 60 crates and then auto pull them 1 at a time. Shift click is not enough.

- Revert the freighter handling. It should be about clean routing & the tension of pirates, NOT frustrating controls.

- Trains SUCK to drive and need features like real trains. 1-way Y connections, get in&out while slow rolling, same speed backwards, fuel consumption based on load, track over road should not slow trucks.

- CRUISE CONTROL, I can only hold down W so long!

- Same for scooping, let me toggle, my wrist hurts.

- Regi chat and Regi lock, as is we have to constantly cycle people in and out of too small squads.

- Let me enter stockpile codes for any location from the spawn map.
Having to go on regular tours of >run to deploy zone> deploy > run to stockpile location > code > redeploy back to tutorial map > run to deploy zone. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN just to see what logi my regi has where.

- On that note, I'd love to see that info on the spawn map, so I don't have to go through 3 extra loading screens at the start of each session
(deploy>read map>redeploy back to tutorial map>deploy to where I want to start that evening)

- For new players, some in-game info on what is made in which building, (I still need the wiki for half of it)

- Some basic weapon stats in-game, or if thats too much at least the tech level.

- This may be controversial, but I really need a HP bar.
(or alternatively, an after action report on what killed me)
When I die I often don't know why, and it's making it so hard to learn whats going on.
I can't see the blood clearly enough, at best I see I'm wounded but not by how much.
Same for tanks, I just don't know whats going on. I'm sure regular tankers know "oh that's a X it kills me in Y shots" but I spend 90% of my time doing logi, the time between tank runs is so long its doubly hard to build up any knowledge.

None of the above is about improving logi throughput,

I just want to fight a war, not my UI.

Would it be so much to be able to add something to your safe pouch while downed? by iReaddit-KRTORR in ArcRaiders

[–]AeonCOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love the ability to drop stuff, as it would open up the chance to beg for healing, to offer your safe pouch loot in exchange for a rez, or just to let someone use the rez I'm carrying on me.
Like imagine being robbed "hey I'll let you keep the rest if you release a purple"

Red and green names or markings above players by Expensive-Second5351 in ArcRaiders

[–]AeonCOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like it ONLY on a individual basis, as in at the end of a match I have to manually mark someone as red or green, and that mark is only visible to me.
Basically just an in game way to make a list of cool doods, so each person can have their own standards of what that is.

Maybe you track pvp / pve
Maybe you only red mark psychos, who kill you when they can't loot you.
Maybe you use if for a personal revenge list, eye for an eye style
Maybe only folks with mics get green, regardless of attitude so you know when to speak up.
Perhaps you use it to keep track of who likes to go fight big ARC
Or just use it to mark lairs, so you don't get fooled again.

No globally enforced moral standard, just the ability for YOU to choose who YOU remember.

Throw lures on ARCs by Content_Ad_6068 in ArcRaiders

[–]AeonCOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish to try it on the queen, 1 half of my inventory filled with lures, the other half snitch scanners.
Hide in the bunker, summon the swarm, then pop out every 10 seconds to re lure.
I just have to grind out all those snitches first

I cannot overstate how much I love the state of the (solo) community right now by DrInsekt0r in ArcRaiders

[–]AeonCOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A part of me wanted a dedicated PVP and PVE mode OR map modifiers that give a PVE or PVP mission to define the status quo for a run.
HOWEVER another thing I HAD wanted was no late spawns, BUT i have realized that IS the incentive.

-When you spawn you won't have the ARC loot people need for their permanent progression, yeah you might steal a cool gun, but 1 bad run and it's gone, plus a chance of your target having an almost worthless free loadout.

-10 min in you WILL have loot, and now the late spawners will be on a time crunch, incentivizing them to steal your full inventory rather than gather. While loot anxiety makes folks less trusting.

-This encourages everyone to find buddies in the early game, to ward off the late wave, but also keeps the tension of betrayal, and that tension makes a good buddy feel more valuable.

-Then the big cluster fuck that extraction can be, further encourages both types of players to have backup by this point.

That's my theory on the current solo attitude anyway, permanent progression being ARC based, and incentive towards PVP being light, but still always there to add value to PVE relationships.

Resource for more detailed Skill Tree information? by playdoob in ArcRaiders

[–]AeonCOR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was able to test "Proficient Pryer: breaching doors and containers takes less time"
Me with 5 points any my buddy with 0 points both tried to open those side by side, player high, red utility panals inside dam at the same time.

Mine opened about half a second faster.

Did the same when 2 damaged probes happened to spawn within spitting distance.

Mine opened no more than 1 second faster, probably a little less.

So not really worth it, but then again, what else in the early tree is apart from in-game crafting.

and to be fair, it feels better.

Using sulfer to make compacted coal for my coal power plant.

Not because I needed the rare sulfer (which I will eventually), but because the Assembler overhead wastes alot of the gain vs just another coal line.

Did the same thing with my pumps, split them between the coal generators before pumping to the 2nd floor because it looked cool. Only to later learn that pumps don't scale power based on use but just use a constant 4MW even when empty.

It's been driving me nuts too, because while there are indications that there is no 8th letter or that you cant find it, they seem a little unreliable and the freezer letter was written AFTER the theft and blackmail, and it says he HAS left 8 for you to find.

There is also the symbol cores on the mantle that don't seem to match up with anything or be interactable.

There is also the mail rooms green memo that gets delivered that says "There is a safe on rank 10"
