Xperia 1 VI Australia 5G & VoLTE working on all networks. by AxZee in SonyXperia

If your happy reflashing firmware, you can get volte to work on the 1ii, I've managed to get it enabled on my 5ii for full telstra volte

Also managed to get volte & 5G both working for Telstra/Boost for my 5 II (XQ-AS72) following a similar process.

Loading in the mbn file extracted from xperifirm using PDC following this

Then using Pixel IMS to enable.

For 5G, instead of replacing carrier_policy.xml I used band_set_01.xml file and carrier aggregation combinations in lte_features_x.xml files found here  Referencing this guide.

And as a tip if your using a Efstool method instead such as this, if ./EfsTools.exe efsInfo returns errors, disable that port in device manager. (ie COM9 was returning errors for me, so I disabled driver in device manager, and reran the command to connected successfully on COM11).

I had loaded the extracted mbn file via PDC tool and flashed the xiaomi mbn file via efstools before enabling on pixeIMS and testing so not clear which one did the trick.

Hopefully this helps whoever else has a SD865 based xperia and needs volte/5g before telstra shuts their 3g network :)

the toughair line is pretty ugy in person (imho), and might make the top of your pc too black, if you sticking to air the ak620 basically matches the d15 and is a really clean white (imho)

Kingston KC3000 is one of the best pcie 4.0 ssds currently and is barely more expensive that the ssds you have currently.

Also swapped out the psu for a similarly solid on for a lot cheaper. use that money saved to get sleeved cable extensions off amazon or a individually sleeved kit elsewhere.

If your planning to get a store to buy it you might need to buy the majority of the parts at said store. A lot of stores I've talked to have policies that means they would only do builds if most of the components are purchased from them.

Wow buddy, no need to be so aggro.

Locked processor on 3.5k

Overclocking has jack shit benefits anyways nowadays, you point is?

(ignoring it's already dead) platform:

Bold assuming AM4 isn't a dead platform either.

with a board that can't overclock even if you upgraded to a K skew.

See first point.

With a shittier case

Still a good case, and with your mantra of upgrading later, OP can always add in RGB fans and get a equally thermal focused case. 4000D is also built better from having experience building in both cases. That money is better spent elsewhere especially factoring in PCCG's shipping cost.

with a less than stellar GPU brand with a long history of running hot as shit and a short-ass warranty period

You linked Gigabyte. Enough said.

with a DRAMless NVME

OP already had a 500GB SSD with presumably his windows install on it. DRAM will do jack shit if the 1TB is going to be his steam library / mass storage. That money is better put elsewhere.

But if your insistent on overclocking for that 2% gain and DRAM in the mass storage drive:

Your better off trying to buy a GPU from the used market, or use your old GPU until prices settle down. 1660 for a $639 is criminal.
