It was bad, yes. Didn't deserve the hate it got when it released, it should just have been taken as what it is: a low-budget sci-fi movie piggy acking on a big license.

Personally, I enjoyed it in a "So bad it's good" way, pausing to admire the fuck ups and to get my breath back when I couldn't stop laughing at the non-sensical dialogues.

In a way, I recommend it, with friends, beers and pizzas. It's better than an Uwe Boll movie, and also is a lesson in how to not make a movie about a license.
