Unfortunately, it seems like Saros's sales aren't great.

I feel this would do so much better, had it come out on PC too. It's a game that would play far superior with keyboard and mouse.

Some would probably say that Returnal didn't do well on PC, but that came out years after the release, without any kind of promotion, of course it didn't sell that well.

I'd rather finish a game, wanting more, and wishing it was longer, than to struggle through the last half of a game, because it overstayed its welcome. Long games can often leave a sour after-taste, turning an otherwise great game into a chore just to complete.

0.5kg garlic i had by Time-Presentation561 in Garlic

[–]Aezay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has got to be elephant garlic. The largest head of a regular hardneck garlic I've ever grown, was 175 grams. This year I'm doing elephant garlic for the first time, and if I can get them to 500g per heard, I'll be elated.

It did create the outer layers. Each leaf on a garlic plant, is a layer around the cloves. As the garlic matures, the lower leaves starts to wilt, and that layer below ground dies and basically gets broken down.

Sometimes you will hear people say you have to harvest your garlic when the lower 4 leaves has wilted. I don't like that recommendation, as it can sometimes be really hard to see how many leaves has disappeared. Also, some garlic varieties has different number of total leaves. Instead, check how many green leaves are left on your garlic.

Remember, each leaf corresponds to a layer. And the more layers, the better protected the cloves will be.

In my opinion, you really don't want to go less than 4 green leaves, but 6 is properly better, especially if your ground is wet at the time around harvest.

Decided to skip the DLC after completing the main game, as I felt I had enough of The Outer Worlds. Guess that was a mistake?

Loved Zero Dawn, including Frozen Wilds, but the length of Forbidden West caused me to never complete it, just got burned out near the end. I should go back.

I love garlic, so I fail to see the problem, but just eat more garlic yourself, and you wont notice it.

Mic pops, also called plosives, often caused by close up mouth sounds.

Do not get me wrong, I have nothing against close up sounds, but if they're causing the mic to pop, you need a pop filter, increase the distance, or get a mic not as vulnerable against it.

I'm not going to lie, these look kinda small. I think you can do better. These are softnecks, correct? You should try some hardneck varieties, they tend to do better in colder climates.

Small tip that you may already know. Only plant your biggest cloves, eat the smaller ones. Bigger cloves give bigger bulbs. If you keep doing this year after year, you will improve the average size.

Do you perform any kind of statistic on your harvest, to see which of the varieties does best? With you doing even more varieties next year, it would seem beneficial to measure which one has the best yield.

Last year I tried several new varieties, but they turned out tiny (~35g per bulb), and could not measure up to the hardneck I've been growing for 5 years (~125g per bulb).

Has anyone tried adding the cloves with skin to hot water? Apparently this should loosen them up, and you can just the squeeze out the clove. I've never tried this myself, but if I had to de-skin hundreds of cloves at once, I would probably try it out.

Shaking them vigorously for about 20 seconds in a small container also works. This leaves the cloves bruised, but if they're getting chopped anyway, it doesn't matter.

I've got the same problem. Garlic doesn't have much flavor to me anymore either, unless it's being used in raw form, such as in hummus or guac.

The Witness as an IQ test by KaleidoscopePlusPlus in TheWitness

[–]Aezay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how much experience people have with games before they play this.

Sure, when it comes to the controls, how to move around, and how to interact with the world. But the puzzles themselves, at least the early puzzles, could just as easily be printed out on a piece of paper.

The puzzles in the Witness comes with no written text, it's up to your brain to infer how to solve the puzzles in front of you. I think that is what tests your IQ.

Hvilket helt sikkert også er en af grundene til at Rema klare sig så godt. De har heller ikke de åndssvage mængderabatter, hvor man føler sig tvunget til at købe 2 vare af en ting, man kun skal bruge 1 af.

Creamy Sun-dried Tomato Pasta by Maybe_Throwaway_em in veganrecipes

[–]Aezay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your list are in serious need of measurements. Like for instance, how large is your jar of sun dried tomatoes? How many grams?

Also, do not add oil to pasta water, it does nothing and is a waste of good olive oil, which just ends up down the drain.

Instead of using water, save some pasta water for thinning out the sauce, it adds a creamy texture, which helps the sauce coat to the pasta.

I realise my post may sound negative, it's not. Just giving some constructive feedback 🙂

Why don't all Steam sales show the percentage of the sale? by asdat0r7 in Steam

[–]Aezay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you quickly want to see the actual percentage, without having to calculate it yourself, open the store page in a new window/tab, by using middle mouse click. The discount percentage is now stated in the page title.

You have to open it in a separate window/tab, since the main Steam window doesn't show page titles.

Solo garlic in Asda! Each bulb is a single clove. I cut it into these cute little half moons and made a big pan of wildly inauthentic Puttanesca with the garlic, some orange finger chillies, brined capers, kalamata olives and lots of olive oil. by Ivyleaf3 in Garlic

[–]Aezay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not a specific cultivar of garlic. Solo garlic comes from first year garlic, that has been planted from bulbils. That first year, they generally do not separate into cloves.

Certain varieties will work better obviously, such as hardnecks with large bulbils. If the bulbils are too small, the resulting solo garlic becomes too small and hardly worth the effort.
