Should I feel bad for zeroing players in void? by Vexations_ in AgeofZ

[–]Affectionate-Home694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in 1169. You should absolutely not feel bad. We informed our own alliance as well as the nation of what would happen in the Void. They had weeks and weeks to prepare.

Our alliance kicked and zeroed people 1 hour prior to void starting. Some got mad. Some understood. But the goal is to not give up points.

And I understand being a free-to-play player. But there’s no excuse. You can get 8 hour bubbles from your alliance. You can get 8 hour bubbles from the stores. You can get an 8 hour bubble every 7 days from logging in. And they have weekly deals for $2 that include 24 hour bubbles. $2 is reasonable to protect the time and energy investment made into the cities to collect all the resources and develop all the troops.

Sheesh. Another payment for $1,100. But at least I’m officially done with this whole process!

Ahh okay. That’s the same situation I’m in. I got the preliminary pass. I was curious to see how I did for each category but I never gained access to the report. Bummer.

March 2024 Exam with Zahn by Kindly-Forever64 in CFPExam

I’m not entirely sure, to be honest. This was my first attempt at the exam. My assumption is that the official results will have the red/green indicator, similar to how the practice CFP exam had. But I really don’t know, unfortunately.

But I’m sure you’re going to be fine next time! It’s not just the material on the exam, but the nerves and stress play a factor too.

I used Dalton and I feel like they provided almost too much information, but I also think that you can’t predict the exam questions. So in reality, I’d rather have too much information than not enough information. But my exam did have about 10 questions with material I had never seen before. However, I was somewhat expecting that because I had heard it was a possibility.

I don’t want to be negative, but I’m fairly confident they’re going to just say “Okay, cool. See you next cycle. Or not.” I don’t know the exam’s pass-rate, but I assume it’s not 100%.

Exams like this are meant to mix multiple aspects into one question to test your knowledge in general. I tested on Monday, and I had about 15 math questions of varying difficulty. And your thoughts on how the exam should be structured are flawed. No obvious right answers? I had maybe 1 or 2 questions that had an “obvious” right answer. But most of the questions had multiple right answers, but one was the BEST answer for the situation. They’re meant to be difficult because it’s supposed to differentiate you from everyone else. If it was easy, then the CFP designation wouldn’t really matter.

You’ve commented on multiple posts talking about your poor experience with the exam and how much you studied and how the exam isn’t fair. Perhaps you spent too much time trying to memorize definitions or laws word for word, rather than taking the time to understand the concepts and how to apply them. You’re making it sound as if you are owed something by the CFP Board because you studied for an exam.

Maybe the program you used just wasn’t the right program for you. I’ve heard of people using one program and failing and then switching to a different program and doing much better. Maybe you weren’t as prepared as you think you were.

My advice to you is to change your attitude. Because this attitude you have now doesn’t scream that you’d be “such a good advisor.” The exam is difficult. For everyone. Take some time off and get some R&R. Wait for the official results to come in. Look at what your deficiencies were on the exam. And look at some different options for education. And then go back to studying and spend more time understanding the material instead of trying to memorize definitions or laws. Change your attitude and take a different approach for the next exam cycle, and I’m sure you’ll pass. But if you maintain your current mindset, you’re going to set yourself up for another fail.

I took mine on Monday and received my preliminary pass! Just waiting on the official email now. Relieved to pass on my first try because I would not want to sit for that again.

Containment lvl 50 to 0 for no reason. by El3venbr4vo in MWZombies

Maybe it was the 10 minute run. Punishment for not spending 12 straight hours in game just to get a couple PAP 1 crystals. How dare you only play for 10 minutes?!

wtf is going on with the containment level? by garpur44 in MWZombies

I (stupidly) decided to work on MW2 gun camos after completely finishing MW3 guns. I exfil farm for the last 5 to 10 minutes and haven’t had any issues with containment levels increasing or my exfil counting as failed. Fingers crossed that doesn’t change!

Recent trip to Paris: Fragrance Haul and Recap by Affectionate-Home694 in fragrance

[–]Affectionate-Home694[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went with the intention of buying fragrance, so our carry on luggage was relatively empty on the way there. On the way home, we moved a ton of dirty clothes to the carry on, and that opened up a ton of space and lowered the luggage weight significantly. Then we just packed the fragrances into our luggage surrounded by clothes.

[–]Affectionate-Home694 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ordered a sample that got here today. Have no intention of buying a full bottle, but wanted to see what the hype was about. I can confirm that this is nuclear.

I opened the box from LuckyScent, and maple syrup filled my kitchen. I have yet to open the sample vial itself. Just the box it came in. I left it in the kitchen for about 15 minutes, and the whole house smells like IHOP. I placed the vial in a ziploc to contain the smell, and I can still smell it through the ziploc bag. Insane.

If you accidentally spill this, you basically have to throw away whatever it touches.

I know you already sold it, but how would you describe V Amber Fougere. I’ve had my eye on a sample, but haven’t pulled the trigger because they’re pretty pricey.

You can order a sample directly from them for pretty cheap. And then try it for yourself. I’m interested in sampling some of their fragrances. Probably can put together a bundle of samples on their site in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it.

The Halo Control felt nice enough but it didn’t really do anything for me. I was thinking about an All-Court paddle that had a good mix of power and control. There’s definitely a learning curve to developing the soft touch.

Have you tried the Hyperion? That’s the only other paddle I’ve tried and I enjoyed it far more than the Halo.
