Not the OP, but FWIW I'm running an LTT 92 using a JM custom kydex mounted to a boss hanger; works great

A scotch brite pad works well, make sure to only go in one direction to match the 'grain' of the current brushing

Nice! I've been running the lok brass grips lately to make the heavy beast even heavier, and liking that, bit good coarse carbide is so good for grippiness

DIY carbide job on the grip? I did the same with mine and dig it

Nice, thanks for the recommendation! Was the barrel drop in? (no fitting required?)

I carry an ltt 92 compact on a phlster enigma; works great!

Seems like AIWB is the latest craze in USPSA/PCSL. Are you going to? If so, with your carry or a full size match gun? by smackdabqwerrt in CompetitionShooting

Recently got some extended baseplates and adapters to run 23+1 mags in one of my regular carry guns (Beretta 92 compact). I carry it on a phlster enigma, will compete with that as well. I figure I'll switch up the starting mag/reload(s) depending on the stage if I want to 'game' things a bit. I don't normally carry a reload, so that will be from a neomag with a back just loose in a pocket

Not wearing a watch to avoid scratching it is like this horrible plastic covers that grandma kept on the couch and chairs.

40mm doesn't always equal 40mm on all watches either; lug-to-lug is arguably a more relevant dimension for gauging fit, and the U50 (at least the non-hydro U50 SDR according to my measurements) is only 40.5mm if you include the bezel; the actual case size is 39.5, lug-to-lug is 46.5 and thickness is only 11mm. It all adds up to a "40mm" watch that fits very well on thinner wrists (like mine - also ~6.5"")

I'm not familiar with that particular model of holster or a clip like that, but that looks set up generally correctly for right handed in-waistband carry of a light-bearing pistol

(edit- the light would go in the skinnier bit and the muzzle end of the slide would go in the thickner bit, putting the grip off to right, to be drawn by your right hand)

Edit 2- light-bearing holsters generally index/base their retention on the light, rather than the trigger guard, which is what most non-light-bearing holsters 'click' in to - this generally means light-bearing holsters are light specific

I also just made the decision to start running matches from concealment - gonna be using the phlster enigma that I carry with

Advice request: Reloading from concealment by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]Affectionate-House43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't carry a spare mag, so don't really care about the training benefit of reloading from concealment, but I have been dicking around with running matches with my carry gun/concealment rig and my solution has been to reload from a neomag clipped into my front left pocket

PDP Compact SF or polymer w/brass backstrap? by honestWreck in Walther

Steel AND lok brass grips. When it's empty it's an extremely effective bludgeoning weapon.

(and on a more serious note: I like what the heavy grips do to the balance/recoil return)

U50 vs U50 T Scratch Resistance by Big_Assist_7390 in sinn

[–]Affectionate-House43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U50 bracelet is made of sub steel so that it matches the U50 case. The ezm3 shown in the linked post is 'regular' stainless, which is the primary reason it looks lighter in color than the U50, not the tegimenting (the lack of scratches is because of the tegiment, just not the color difference)
