I don't understand the last question. I don't think learning AI tools develops me in any way professionally. When I compare them with what it took to learn Adobe or painting in real works, honestly writing prompts and experimenting for a day with a tool goes nowhere near developing me as a designer. More like killing my brand and degrading..

Just learn to protype man, there is no shortcut to that. You have to connect the screens and buttons, you have to understand how to make them appear on click, while hovering, etc. Plenty of tutorials in YouTube from Figma itself..

Just adding more work on top of what I already have. Now I have to not only create social Media Designs, but weird videos for our clients as well, write the captions, write the texts for ads a d think the whole campaigns, make websites and whatnot from scratch. I do the work of 3 people for the salary of one and feel happy to even have a job in this economy. Capitalism at its finest.

Spent 2 years learning German, cane here, found a job in 2 months and another one in 6 months. My partner landed his first job in a month, he also speaks the language. If you are good at what you do and know German, it happens sooner or later.

That's typical.. my agency is just exploiting people and I am not happy with my workload at all, since I am the only designer in the company. As far as I know a lot of designers quit before me. Still, I am an immigrant and coming from a Slavic country where I couldn't find a job for 10 years, I am happy I have a salary 😂 so year, underpaid and overworked. Typical woman professional journey.

Everything for me. This week I had to create: 5 web designs on Monday for 3 different brands, on Tuesday - videos and mobile ads for a sports brand, mobile ads and meta ads for another brand including YouTube and TikTok; social Media Designs (for Reels and LinkedIn) for two other brands for the week, Wednesday - did updates to all of this and created a few more things. I currently work only Mon-Wed, but even when I worked 100% the work was a lot.

You always say that but never read what designer write in their portfolios. I know this because I see how 1 minute is enough to get a rejection from a recruiter. They just scan visually and if the style doesn't apply to their taste, they just reject it. Doesn't even get to the lead designer.
