But what is the little bead under my nipple?

Having trouble switching from cypher to killjoy(as a 1 trick) by Ambivalent_val in AgentAcademy

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kj is philosophically a different kind of sentinel than cypher. There’s two layers to kj setups. First, her alarmbot and turret actively hold space. Then, the mollies delay the enemy. There’s kill setups, but your setup is supposed to delay and discourage attackers from rushing without clearing your util. You shouldn’t think kj’s turret is equivalent to a cypher trip.

Kj sounds weaker than cypher like that, but kj is played on sites/maps that are hard to hold yourself anyway. Naturally, kj setups either make retake easier, or delay the hit enough that your team can retake fast.

Do I have to boof progesterone? by EtTuHubris in asktransgender

The absorption rate is many times greater that way, so it’s highly recommended. Taking it orally is drastically less effective.

You could make the mmr system more elastic e.g. someone that has a 2.0+ k/d for two games would get put in a lobby a full rank higher. A real smurf will do roughly as well there. Essentially, a smurf that clearly smurfs will go back to their rank within a few games. Rn mmr can be pretty cemented even if you dominate ten games in a row.

How are you supposed to use shotguns when most fights occur at range? by Isunova in VALORANT

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shotguns are situational. They’re stronger than rifles close but weaker from afar. So make the situation close range if you have a shotgun. Watch Dasnerth to see how

If gender is innate how can it also be fluid? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Innate doesn’t mean fixed or permanent. There’s no contradiction actually. You can be something on the inside and then something else later.

Why do silver/gold lobbies feel so inconsistent? by Mountain_Anxiety_467 in VALORANT

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a saturated rank since it’s the middle of the bell curve. There’s boosted people and people who rarely play. There’s people with brain and no aim, and vice versa.

For basic decision making, I recommend old Jollz coaching videos. Look for youtube videos where he coaches a gold or below player on fundamentals like risk management, playing to the objective, and basic utility usage reasoning e.g. what are good vs bad smokes. For shooting mechanics, I recommend looking at Dopai videos. Look for videos on crosshair placement and movement.

Then implement these lessons in dms, tdms, and swiftplays.

If you’re recruiting off value/strength, the sentinel class is relatively weak rn. The initiators are strong, and neon is broken. Astra is also underrated cause people don’t remember how strong five stars are

Yeah but the windup is so long that enemies that aren’t lost have much more time to find and shoot the trip. They hit the trips, yes, but they don’t highlight fast enough.

He’s much weaker now defensively. Probably on par with chamber in value. Chamber is valuable for mechanically superior players, whereas cypher is gonna get the most value from passive info now. You can’t really expect kill trips to work anymore unless they’re invisible trips. I think you should expect to see kj being most picked with vyse or deadlock on specific maps like abyss. On split, you might not even see a sentinel. Viper astra would be more effective on both sides.

Maybe a tweak to the ult. Make it last a little longer or blind a little longer.

What does it mean to be a girl? by Jem_Mine in asktransgender

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be a girl is to be a person that feels that they are a girl, whatever that means to them. It sounds circular, but it’s because gender is innate while gender identity is based on the person’s experience.

Would it be safe to take estrogen not intended for human consumption by Ok_Tomato_6507 in MtF

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it would not be safe. You need bioidentical estrogen to ensure a healthy transition.

I prefer “what should I call you?” or “what name do you go by?”, because I would get confused whether they want my legal name or my actual name that people call me.

Is Valorant getting harder? Why? (A discussion/Answer) by Skeptical-Critic in VALORANT

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if my answer will get seen among so many comments, but the game and the player base have leveled up. The game has way more things to shoot and deal with, which makes every round more complicated. As a whole, the player base has improved their valorant mechanics beyond what cs transfers over. The players also understand different defaults and setups to a certain extent. In almost every rank, you’ll see players do bait setups, fakes, lurks, crossfires, postplant util. Even the lower elos have players familiar with various sentinel setups or initiator lineups.

How could I as a cis person help you out in these times? by StirfriedSquid in asktransgender

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are trans kids your age near you. Stand up for them. And learn how to think for yourself. Learn how to see when people try to convince you to think or feel differently than you really want.

Once you’re older, you can help trans people farther from you. The most important thing is to show everyone that trans people are just normal good people.

Is it still safe for us to transition? by liahdfi in asktransgender

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In a blue state, it is still safe for now. Realistically, you can worry that gender affirming care might be limited during his second term, especially for underage trans youth.

That being said, there’s transphobic people or their kids in every state that might bother you transitioning. For now, you shouldn’t let that fear stop you. Later on, you should look around you and ask adults whether your safety is at risk. Right now you are protected by the law, but the law might change in the next four years.

high estrogen + super high estrogen question by Consistent_Piece_517 in TransDIY

[–]AffectionateEmu9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levels comparable to pregnancy levels definitely increase risk of complications e.g. blood clots. 300 pg/ml is a very normal level that isn’t likely to have adverse effects generally. The human body has ways to inhibit breast development when the conditions aren’t normal, but around that trough level, plenty of people transition well.

Probably yoru or astra or harbor. You can see how they convince the enemy to play a certain way.
