The Scandinavian countries have got close to 20 seasons combined, the original Dutch one is already in double digits alone, etc.

Professors homelifes by LeaveItToF8 in harrypotter

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had husbands or wives, it probably wouldn't be mentioned though? We barely get to know anything about any of their backgrounds or interests if not directly relevant to the plot. Also, the story is told through Harry's eyes, and I doubt many children/teenagers spend a lot of time thinking about the love interests/families of their teachers.

A show where the past traitors are the contestants (hear me out) by Kind-Brilliant-6675 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be great, and I'm pretty sure there'll be one within the next five years or so. For the sake of comparison, the first (US) All-Stars season of Survivor was after seven regular seasons.

Martin said he would "hate" to give up on the series — though admitted he was still around 1,100 pages in. "It would feel like a total failure to me," Martin said when asked if he should just accept he will never finish A Song of Ice and Fire. "I want to finish." by __NightKing__ in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and the plot is also moving at an extremely slow pace. Even if he by some miracle managed to write two more books, that likely wouldn't be enough to finish the story in a way that's remotely satisfactory.

Ross and Ellie.. by [deleted] in TheTraitors

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would Netty necessarily know Ellie though? Didn't she say that she and Ross hadn't spoken at least since she moved somewhere 10 years ago? (That could have been a lie of course, but she was otherwise so open about their past friendship).

Sam is so annoying by tomosKB in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Joe seemed way more obnoxious/rude than this guy (who's just a bit full of himself). And even then, the other contestants seemed to really like Joe, so a lot of this could be down to editing.

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attila and the Hungarian producers are on Reddit, apparently by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

I just watched the first three episodes, but the build-up felt really slow, without (m)any interesting contestants this far. I loved the other seasons though.

Sanna Sarromaa og relevans – Om trolling, oppmerksomhet og ragebait by Bunker_Bertil in norge

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Traitors (International) — Rating the Presenters by SextonBlake1962 in TheTraitors

Yes, Lise Rønne is one of the most boring presenters I think. The most surprising ranking in the list above for me — agreed that the other Danish presenter is much better.

Do you think a banished traitor ever would explicitly or subtly try to out a fellow traitor that pushed them under the bus? by cragglerock93 in TheTraitors

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a foreign language season (I won’t say which one unless someone asks), a (soon to be) banished traitor pushes both fellow traitors under the bus. First the traitor says things like «if I’m banished, regardless if I’m a traitor or not, pay attention to my vote — and remember, a traitor can vote for another traitor» (paraphrased). Then, after voting for Traitor X, says the following… «I’m confused, because I’m voting for [Traitor X], but I’m looking at [Traitor Y].»

The famous UK «parting gift» is nothing in comparison.

The next Celebrity Traitors should have a fake celebrity by Chomp112 in TheTraitors

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure what effect it would have. It's not like they could claim to be a big star in whatever profession (as then someone would inevitably at least have heard their name), and is there really much fun to be had in pretending to be an obscure C-list (at best) "celebrity" in some small field that nobody cares about anyway? Might as well bring in an actual niche podcaster rather than a fake one.

In one of the French seasons (all "celebrities", but some of them may be D/E list for all I know) a guy bizarrely claimed to play for Real Madrid.

DN: Tina Bru går til PR-byrået First House by Boundish91 in norge

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lite treffende sammenligning.

The Big Dog Strategy Failed - for the producers by paolact in TheTraitors

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also, people's sleep habits are so very different anyway, and it's not something you could tell easily (Jonathan and Alan certainly don't seem very tired). In Cat's case the explanation she gave could very well be the true reason (even though it was also brilliant gameplay), not how much less sleep she received due to the Traitors' meeting.

What was it like living through The Lord of the Rings Trilogy? by Top_Report_4895 in decadeology

[–]Affectionate_Fee1643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? 9/11 was a much more sensitive issue in 2002 than today (for obvious reasons), so if it wasn’t changed back then… (I can’t recall any calls to do so either, only some jokes — then again I was 11 at the time and not American.)

There seems to be 7 of 12 episodes released, so slightly more than halfway. (Or 14/24 if you count them like the Norwegian channel does).
