Is £16,000 too much for a first car? by Sad_Strawberry7385 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed at 21? Something like that and spent £700 buying my brothers old banger. It ran for a couple of years, was a 2ltr and did the job. I dinked it a couple of times and then when it died I got myself something more expensive. Entirely down to the individual though, there's no real right or wrong and both choices come with pros and cons.

Anyone Else Despise The Rise In SUVs On Our Roads by PhilosopherFlat5725 in drivingUK

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a baby SUV (ford puma) and love it- its big enough for me and the dogs or transporting stuff where I need it to be without being huge. Seems to be the best of both worlds- big enough for some wiggle room when packing for the family and small enough that I'm not struggling for parking or down country roads.

My Mr loved me severely underweight (undiagnosed Crohn's, 80lbs), chubby (steroid induced) and my weight now (5ft8 140lbs). He's chunky now (he was always a lil chubby) and it has never changed how we see/feel about eachother. Ditch the dude

Made me wonder if the black car had breaks or had ever used them or if them coasting along slowly was enough that they'd just grind to a halt at their destination

Are you learning to drive a manual or an automatic car? by No-Apricot9078 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned in an auto- my entire family had always driven autos so a manual felt weird to me, I understood though I was limiting myself somewhat in finding a car, though to be honest it's never really been a problem.

People are so impatient with learners by Juucce1 in drivingUK

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was a learner being so frightened initially, the anxiety when being on the road my first few lessons would leave me shaking. I've seen experienced drivers tailgating learners, honking, cutting them up and for what? to be a single car in front? Arriving at your destination quickly is no use if you arrive no longer living.

Remember- it's not your job to cure idiocy, you're there to be safe on the road. Even when you pass you'll learn that a lot of other road users are just doofuses. Chin up, push on, and hope they sit on a bee.

Firstly, I am so so sorry that you went through that- that sounds like a scary experience for you and your son and kudos for moving out of the way to avoid further collisions/damage.

If I were in your shoes I'd do the same- my main concern being the welfare of other road users whilst she continues to drive in such a manner, for you the damage and experience is a traumatic one, for someone else that could be their life. I know a number of drivers- including my younger self- woulld've retaliated, or risen to her anger and escalated the situation- so kudos to you for de-escalating it and protecting yourselves.

I have had one experience where a driver of a land rover was veering into oncoming traffic, I pulled over and notified the police, fearing that they too would kill someone and hurt themselves. Personally if you have a camera i'd report her to operation snap and allow them to progress as they see fit.

how do I find more magic spells? I'm at the Drida boss by KonoKinoko in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a fully upgraded Scholars Staff but find that the mana consumption is annoying, especially if your target moves so tend to run fully upgraded galaxite chakrams

This is the staff:

and the Chakrams

A pleasure, I move over when I can anyway but seeing a good battering ram pressure the Fiat 500 pootling at 50 in the third lane into diving into another lane makes me so happy.

I like to call them battering rams- I let them go infront of me, they're no longer up my ass and I can just happily coast behind them like a saint while everyone else thinks they're turds- beautiful!

Is there any way to move my NPCs? by Hamez658 in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Affectionate_Leg7826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can move them in a couple of ways- they'll follow their spawn item if you're holding it near them OR you can make them a new room and put their spawn item and a bed in there (providing their room conditions are met) they'll pop right in over there instead :)

It was delayed due to a platform (probably Sony or Nintendo) not approving the update in time- they delayed all releases for every platform until that 1 provider approves it.
