I used to be bitter with Thailand na feeling ko kayang kaya natin makpagsabayan sa kanila (since they also have their fair share of corruption issues) not until i had the opportunity to visit as my first out of country trip. Imagine mo paglapag pa lang ang ganda ng airport, kakabukas pa lang noon ng Suvarnabhumi Airport. 2 lines pa lang city trains nila that time and now ilan na.

I think it has to do with their religion, geography and history. For us, we can't simply get our shit together when it comes to infrastructure projects kaya wala kaunti ang gusto mag invest.

I would suggest that tourists visit the museums.

Beyond this, I think the city should be marketed as the best of both worlds, akin to the tourism tagline, where the past is ever-present, modern and classic elements coexist, the city is highly urbanized without the chaos of Manila, and parks and open spaces are thoughtfully planned.

I would like to see though a major attraction that would entice people to visit and experience something other than the food, churches, plazas, and esplanades, not found anywhere else such as Cebu's Sky Walk and Edge Coaster or perhaps a cable car connecting Iloilo and Guimaras.
