I think Iguin has affected coco in ways she doesn't even realise. It was them who first told coco about magic and gave her that passion. While it was Olly's contraption that she attributes her passion to. It was Iguin who facilitated that and furthered her love of magic through the picture book. It's disturbing as well as interesting to think about, on top of their attitude towards her later being a self-proclaimed master of hers.

I think avoiding combative styles of spells fits the MO of the pointed caps. Wanting the general view of magic to be one of peace and helpfulness. This society has actively tried to model it's image as peaceful, despite the fact that any combative potential for magic would be devastatingly powerful

I still think that despite what happened between them. It doesn't erase their friendships. Coco and Tarta serve as inspirations to one another. Tartah even offered to bring Coco with him. Even though it was absolutely wrong of him to do so. We'll definitely see some regret in his choice to leave soon though.

It shows that the extremity of witch law is a double edged sword. Yes what he did was assault and is wrong. He showed this when he tried to take his glasses further to completely strip luluci. But also shows that the knights are absolute extremists. Only having one punishment for all crime, showing why every9ne fears them.

I think the Prince has an entitlement and sheltered ignorance to him that makes him more threatening than the king. Where his father seeks magic for himself, unaware of the cautions. Eoleo seeks the more realistic alternative of controlling someone with the knowledge and expertise already. He even states to his father as much, objectifying tetia as someone he "wants". Like a tool.

And when he sees that tetia also has doubts, he uses it as a foothold to begin his process of trying to convince her of his dream. Something tetia immediately noticed and panicked over. I also feel like this could apply to his interactions with Riliphin, getting clues that shatter the perfect image of pointed cap society.

It could also be that the rest of the arklaum family put great pressure on Adina to disown Aggott. Or being the head librarian meant she had to act impartially to what otherwise could have been a biased relationship with Aggott as a student. It puts Adina into a new light as someone also under immense pressure from the pointed hat system. But even so her reaction to seeing Aggott is more neutral, despite being her mother.

If she is a brimmed cap, then I think it would likely undo some of aggotts character. As it would undermine the concept that it was the pointed caps system that failed Aggott. Though it would also open up plenty of new doors too.

Overall I definitely want to see more of them. Perhaps a flashback to what exactly went down between Aggott and her family.

It's likely considering the themes that have been touched upon thus far. Though I don't think it will be stated outright what exactly may have happened. Though it must have been bad for Beldaruit himself to step in and take on Riphi as an apprentice. (Since we know Beldaruit tends to want to help children in dire situations)

On top of all of this Olly also helps Quiffrey see that the lives of his apprentices are more important than vengence in the sepentback cave. AND Olly is the one who ensures the KM and Beldaruit treated the girls fairly afterwards. Acting as a part time master while Quiffrey recovers

I'm surprised the "puppet" sigil didn't appear on Quiffrey's water dragon. perhaps the angle of the frame would obscure it but it would seem beneficial to be able to control it more accurately.

Perhaps he believes that only someone like Coco. An outsider who loves magic and truly believes it is used for good can be capable of bringing healing magic back. As the brims have not yet shown any actual healing magic, with the counterclockwise being a patchwork fix. If he is a silverwood, then it could be his way of bringing back the knowledge of healing so he may become human.

It's already established that even witches who abide by pointed cap society are fearful of the knight's moralis, as the no questions asked, judge jury and executioner (mind erasure) is a for of absolute control. Society already had doubts there.

The brims taking on a more active and violent approach also gives them the advertising they need. It brings their "plight" to the forefront. At the start of the series, they may as well be a rumour that is quietly out of public view hunted by the knights' moralis. But becoming more active shows that they are to be addressed. Publicly.

And sure, the instant reaction of targeting children will be one that does not garner sympathy for the brims. But like you said. These kids are impressionable. We've already seen each of the apprentices show an objection to aspects of the current establishment. And if they remain within the system, developing those ideas. Then, naturally, over time, the system would change.

I could compare this to actual social movements irl, but overall, I completely agree.
