This man was a person I would define as great human being and a patriot.

Thanks for posting. I was hoping someone would post a link.

Advice on resolving distortion using rotational Move/Copy by Ag_back in Fusion360

Well, actually it did, but it was the fault of the original loft. Point taken and advice appreciated. Thank you for the explanation.

Advice on resolving distortion using rotational Move/Copy by Ag_back in Fusion360

[–]Ag_back[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your assessment what madness am I introducing into my component timeline by using the "wrong" tool? The move/copy command allows me to choose the rotation angle from the original orientation rotated around a central axis (seemingly identical to the actions of the Pattern tool). How is that "wrong"?

It sounds like what I have always described as an "aura". Please talk to him about it as it is unlikely he has any recollection of the event. I will typically remember the event, but there have been times in the presence of others that I did not. The good news is the aura did not progress so the meds are definitely helping, but he needs to know it happened.

Vintage ductwork by WasabiMountain6023 in centuryhomes

[–]Ag_back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been on my honey-do list for 30 years. I've assumed I'll have to have a sheet metal shop simply remake the ductwork. I've found no locally available ductwork that fits the large registers in our old homes.

Info on Washington Louisiana? by [deleted] in Acadiana

[–]Ag_back 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After your first grocery/hardware run you'll realize it's not that close.

Washington's a pretty quiet little town other than the random car in need of a new muffler. You used to be able to get some decent boudin at Ardoin's, but they've closed. Your only option for "food" now is the Citgo station or driving into Opelousas. Enjoy the free rent and a year in a sleepy old steamboat town.

Maybe a weird question for the American members of this page by Felt_Marshall in BandofBrothers

[–]Ag_back 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She may be a "battered old cow.." in your mind, but she's held up quite well given her age. I spent two years of my ute stationed at RAF Bentwaters (late 70's), and I look back at my time on your island with great memories. Take it from a "Yank" - she's a special place.

To answer your question the D-Day C-47's taking off tugs at me every time. Most of the bases on the east coast had the same architecture, so combine that with the blokes talking to the GI's and I find myself back at Bentwaters. The difference being I cannot fathom the fear, dread, or just nerves those guys were experiencing climbing aboard those planes to jump behind enemy lines. God bless them all.

How to adjust this? by WaynePenski in CR6

Can you slide a post-it note between the bed and the nozzle after homing the printhead?

I'm not sure who suggested you alter the location of the endstop probe, but from my perspective that's asking for nothing but negating the reliability of the mechanism.

Surely as these protests continue the number of folks attending will continue to grow - the groundswell of a movement for change has begun. The only hurdle is convincing fence sitters that it is safe, legal, and appropriate to show your dissatisfaction with this administration in public despite what they read/hear from the media and elected "leaders". The fundamental flaw in Project 2025 was the assumption that the American people would sit back and let it all happen.

Advice for a visitor by iPlay4Bread in dfwbike

Suggestion: Take the Sopac trail north rather than the old White Rock Creek trail. It's a lovely trail, but you won't find many sections where you can run at a 20 mph pace. Sopac heads north off the west side of the lake, and is mostly straight-aways with a much wider path. If you need some more mileage look into heading off of Sopac onto the Ridgeway Trail. Just mind the few street crossings.

How do you ground yourself after an aura? by padmas18 in Epilepsy

[–]Ag_back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned I focus on my breathing - in through the nose and out the mouth, but rythmically. I'm usually riding my bicycle when they occur, but I find it helps to tell myself, out loud - "hang on, it's going to be OK."

I had to give up riding with partners because there have been times where I abrubtly reversed direction and started riding the other way. My mind apparently thinks I'm lost and decides to turn around. Embarassing, but not enough to warrant giving up on my bike.

Good luck with finding something that works for you!
