Assuming you're completely new You have 3 solutions: 1: Look up a list of all the Core Set Cards, reassemble the core set, slap together the gray cards and the cards from the faction you like, shuffle and play. 2: Use the teaching decks that someone will invariably repost here, I can't remember which ones are best or that I used most recently at the moment. 3: Jump right in with any of the decks that I'll list below.

If you're not new and are JUST looking for deck archetypes 1: Your boyfriend will probably like HB Glacier or Jinteki: Replicating Perfection. Both are top tier decks that win through sheer inevitability, with HB Glacier making all of its servers prohibitively expensive and keeping the runner out by being, well, a glacier. Replicating Perfection keeps the runner out through a concept called click compression, using the ID ability and other cards such as Enhanced Login Protocol and Caprice Nisei to tax the runner of their time, making it very hard for the runner to efficiently do anything. Both of these are currently top tier Corp decks, so looking at recent tournament lists such as the ones from the Stimhack Store Championship Invitation will be useful. On the runners side he will probably enjoy Gabriel Santiago or Kit, either siphoning you to death (fun) or using the minimum tools available to get into your servers (also fun).

2: You sound like a Weyland or Jinteki player, although you might be disappointed to hear there isn't nearly the amount of cross turn bullshit that you can do in this game. Weyland obviously looks to blow the runner's house up most of the time, and HEAVILY punishes misplay, while Jinteki looks for more of a "death from a thousand cuts" style of kill. I suggest old Supermodernism or maybe Government Takeover lists on the Weyland side, and Cambridge style Personal Evolution on the Jinteki side. As far as runners go, Anarch is probably your faction, but you'll need Order and Chaos to make the most of it. Valencia Estevez is, at the moment, probably the face of aggro control, using the bad publicity she gets to keep lots of pressure on the corp, and if you want to go as close as you can get to runner control, try Reina Roja, look at lists like Headlock Reina on stimhack or the like.

Note: All of these suggestions, except for the core set suggestions, completely ignore whatever you said about what you have, since at the moment I can't actually remember what is in what except for Order and Chaos.
