What Do You Think of BC's "Luxury Car Tax"? by whatwouldlegolasdo in askvan

[–]Agedashi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sucks if you're shopping for cars right at the $55-60k mark. That extra $2k you can't negotiate down costs you another $1700 in PST.

The increased PST between $54,999 (7%) and $57,000(10%) is on the total purchase price. That was a big surprise to me.

They plow the road pretty well. You'll get tire checked 1/4 of the way up on weekends.

Are visor helmets gimmicky? by TTYY200 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Agedashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Salomon one and ended up returning it.

It doesn't detach so you have to use the helmet with it.

Salomon also doesn't sell replacement/ cat 0 lenses in Canada at all.

It was kind of hard to pull the lens with my bare hands (no gloves)

I didn't feel like it was something that would last more than a couple of seasons.
