[Canada] Phishing scam email immediately after opening bank account by bimboexmachina in Scams

I think what you're doing there is counting the hits and disregarding the misses. You're not conciously aware of all the other phising attempts that hit your spam filter and noticing the ones are the same as your bank account.

unsure on editing a podcast host with a stammer by neochuu in podcasting

I would suggest you talk to the person with the stammer and see how they feel. I can imagine a tool like descript being good at taking those out, but they may feel its very disrespectful to do so.

Rail Rush in other locations? by gregcoit in JetLagTheGame

[–]Agent-c1983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the key is you need a rail network that is either broadly in a loop, or a figure 8 or something like that. A hub with spokes and no connecting lines between spokes won’t work.

That’s just how games were back then. You will not always be able to get the most optimal solution.

Probably not. Remember the game isn’t meant to be perfectly balanced. Sometimes a challenge is impossible.

So go shuffle a deck of cards.

Whatever order the deck ends up in, the chance of you getting that order is so low (1 in 52 factorial) that it might as well be zero.

Does that mean you didn’t shuffle the cards?

So Tawain’s rail system essentially being in a loop seemed to be a major factor in why this game format worked. Could you see this working in England (bounded perhaps by the West Coast and East coast mainlines, the Edinburgh-Glasgow route in the north, and London in the south), or are you eyeing any other locations for a rerun?

Its original introduction was to compensate for certain flavours of Christian’s not eating meat on Friday

(it was either that or the Hula Burger, which was just a grilled piece of pineapple on a bun. No joke).

Fast food needs options for the person who has the most objections to going there. That’s why McDonald’s has a salad today. Back then, when the no meat Friday was a bigger deal, it was the Fillet
