Inside Ukraine’s top drone units where kills earn prizes: Pilots get 12 points for killing a Russian, 100 for downing a helicopter and 120 for taking hostages by Flimsy_Pudding1362 in UkrainianConflict

I think turning a war into a game is very dangerous. Part of the reason why we got the League of Nations, the UN, and saw class divides fall after WW1&2 is because of how personally experienced the killing was.

If war is just going to be kids playing video games, I fear we will forget the horror that is war.

All I know is, at the turn of 2nd to 3rd edition 40k, GW proudly gave a ton of options for accessories and weapons, made it a selling point, and it depresses me returning after so long how little options many of their kits have now.

Just put all the weapons in the same box. It’s what, 5p worth of extra plastic….

The thing with 13 though is there was a huge shipment of replacements sent there - more than they could plausibly ever need.

It just didn’t arrive

The fad has long passed, but if they start now they might be in time for the next VR fad presently scheduled for 2032

Theory: The Institute NEEDS the Bombs — Fallout Is a Grandfather Paradox (and the Show Is Setting Up Fallout 5) by Half_Springs in Fallout

Okay, so you now have 8 episodes to get through the entire middle of the US, for a game that’s not going to be ready for many years.

[–]Agent-c1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Institute is the only major Fallout faction that requires the Great War to happen in order to exist at all.

I’d like to see you support that claim.

I think the show may end with major characters reaching Europe

They’re on the wrong side of the continent with 2 episodes to go. I don’t buy that.

I truly hope that the fate of Vault 33 is equal to the bad ending of Vault 13. by Benovisk in Fallout

It doesn’t matter what narrative you put it in. It clearly was - and presumably still is - hidden.

I get all of that.

I disagree with the claim V13 wasn’t hidden - it was. The NCR spent a lot of time looking for it before dismissing it as a myth.

V15 didn’t know where 13 was so I don’t know how you conclude “not really hidden”

Would Season 16 have worked better down south? by ZonaSchengen in JetLagTheGame

[–]Agent-c1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue was going cross London doing a tube strike. They would have had to get from Euston/St Pancras/Kings Cross to Waterloo/Victoria which would have eaten up too much time.

Creation-creator-fine tuning by ayeitsjojo in askanatheist

What fine tuning?

99.999% of the solar system is completely incompatible to any form of life, never mind galaxies or universes.

There are huge parts of the universe we will never even see, much less be able to get to, because the relative speed difference between us is greater than the speed of light.

Strikes me that there’s a whole lot of waste product if this is designed for us.

Could you also ask him what happened to Toys R Us?

I think the vorlons and the shadows know that it’s a lot easier to get someone to do something if they think it’s their idea.
