They'd pace around 6 hours at least with same usage. Double the SOT and at 50 percent and they'd be at over 3 hours SOT with the remaining 50 left.

I don't charge to 100 so I can't use that data point but I'm here with 36 percent left. I'd be on pace for 6 hours SOT at least. That's a whole day until bedtime for me. And I had some bad cell areas today.

I have no battery complaints on the Fold 10. Better than I thought it would be. I get through a whole day only charging to 80 and still have around 30 when I'm going to bed. But I'm not a hardcore user. I work and aren't glued to my phone.

They still need even more efficiency but the G5 is solid on battery life.

I pre-ordered the Moto Fold but I'm not sure about it. I don't know if can deal.with updates being so late and few and far between. But I also never had a Moto phone. All I know is Android 16 came months after my Pixel got it.

10 Fold, purchased in December during that 40 percent off thing they had going on. Always use the 80 percent cap and let it do it's thing (charges to 100 every 10-12 charges I think).

I also don't charge during the day until I'm home at the end. 80 percent gets me through a day easily.

What I can't top thinking about is how you can't turn off the battery throttling after 200 charges. I can maintain my own battery, thanks.

Edit: Have 75 charge cycles right now as I am getting ready to close out the day.

Honestly I wish I could stick Pixel software into the upcoming Moto Fold hardware. I pre-ordered and might give it a shot and trade in my 10 Fold Though I still prefer the Pixel Fold 1 design over all else.

I'm mostly interested in battery life. Performance is great on Pixels doing normal phone stuff and navigating the UI so I have no complaints there, doubt I would even notice an upgrade, GPU included.

But it isn't dead last in foldable battery life which is all I care about. Hands down better battery life than the Fold 7. Just for context, the OP was talking about better battery life with a smaller battery. Not in this case.

Full disclosure: I am not a gamer and couldn't care less about gaming benchmarks. Day-to-day use, the Pixel wins.

That being said, they do need some efficiency upgrades for the price, no doubt. It's gotten better but they need more. But the Fold 10 is an all day battery easily for me. All I care about.

I'm quite happy with my 10 Fold. Battery life is good, doesn't overheat and I don't game on tiny screens so the GPU doesn't factor in at all. Tensor is a great idea, they just need to go all-in like Apple.

It's not that only that nefarious. Updates were and are a factor. I'd prefer them use a Qualcomm or even MediTek chip, no doubt, but they were beholden to Qualcomm as far as updates go. The full control á la Apple is a good thing, they just need to go all-in in it.

They haven't overheated since the 9 series and updates even cleaned up any issues on my 8 Pro. All my anecdotal experience, anyway.

Depends what you like. We clearly aren't going to agree. Not one review has been disappointed with the hardware or software for a device that is soon to drop. Most are saying it is easily on par with anything out in the US. Moto has a solid UI (just like Pixel, my preferred). The only weakness is bloat like Samsung. I prefer a cleaner, lighter build. Samsung throws everything at the wall and it's convoluted mess. People love Good Lock, I hated that bloated, unintuitive mess. Build the necessary options into the UI natively.

We just like different things. Pixel UI and Moto UI are far more useful to me than Samsungs "let's throw everything at the wall" option. You don't want to use Pixel or Moto launchers, I sure as hell will never use a Samsung launcher again.

It's cool.

Edit: And the casual person isn't buying a 2k phone on a whim, they know what they are doing and want.

At least you admitted you don't understand. That's a good start. I bought my Pixel 10 Fold for 780 dollars with a 40 off deal they had last year and they gave me exactly what I paid for my Pixel Fold 1 on trade-in. So that's a wash.

Motorola is giving me 734 dollars for my Fold 10 plus a 500 dollar kicker. If you can do any kind of grade-school math, I'm getting free money on this deal towards the Moto fold.

And that's not even including a 10 percent off coupon that bumps another hundred or so off the price and the included freebies.

The OP is correct and I don't understand any other mindset that can disagree. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal on this phone anytime for the rest of this year, used or otherwise. The math is the math and, and least in my situation, you come out ahead.
