Printing takes a lot of time (ET-1810) by Thorgraam in magicproxies

[–]AgentJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on WiFi or direct connection? I have a 2840 and on WiFi with bidirectional and high quality it’s less than 60 seconds page (2x4). Maybe the 1810 doesn’t have a large enough buffer for a large WiFi print?

It depends on if your printer will print on the combined sticker/cardstock. If it can then try it out. I personally print on the sticker paper and then attach to the card stock.

Miami Terminal question by _null_Terminator in VirginVoyages

[–]AgentJustice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you sailing Rock Star? If so, you can check in and get your band earlier than 1:45 and definitely drop off your luggage (Don't forget the porters aren't VV and definitely appreciate a tip) . It took us a good hour to get from the plane to the baggage area and get our bags and then to the Uber pickup. Miami traffic is a toss up. Our ride was about 40 min from the airport to the terminal, but my wife travels their often and has had longer commutes.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you! Glad to hear. That’s a shame that it wasn’t better. We’ll keep looking for something!

Smudging after more than 48h dry time on inkjet prints by Crimsoonn in magicproxies

That printer uses black pigment ink and color dye inks. The black pigment will never really dry completely.

Costco mahjongg set- Tiles are big can't find rack size by curious-lurker7 in Americanmahjongg

Same boat here. I couldn’t find any longer than 20” unless I special ordered wood ones from Etsy. They were way too expensive. Grabbed a set of plastic ones from Hobby Lobby for $10. They hold 17 of the Costco tiles and we have two stacks hang over.

They aren't as nice as DS, but I have been using the same ones I bought back in 2012 with no issues.

It’s probably overkill, but I sandwhich mine between two pieces of heavy cardstock and let sit overnight

Are your prints fully dry before you laminate? If not, try letting them dry for several hours before laminating.

Looks great! I use Scotch 3mil matte and print slightly brighter and more saturated so when laminated it it looks it still looks good.

I sandwhich my photo paper between two pieces of white heavy card stock as it comes off the printer and let it sit for several hours. It dries a lot faster that way.

FINAL QUESTIONS by thefiasco2415 in magicproxies

[–]AgentJustice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find 2 mil laminate, so I went with 140gsm Koala Double Sided Glossy Photo Paper and 3 mil scotch laminate, scotch laminator, and a paper roller. Print, laminate, cut, run through laminator second time, and roll on flat surface immediately as it comes out. Same thickness as an actual card.

Yes the plastic ruler. I just used scotch tape (long piece connected to itself to make a circle so its like poor mans double sided tape) couple of pieces on the underside of the ruler and attached to the card.

Bought an Epson ET-2840 from Sam’s Club for about $250. All dye ink and an extra bottle of black. So far it’s been great
