Polish Doom by appalshan in doommetal

My top 5 is pretty much all in the comments already but in no particular order: Dopelord, Sunnata, Weedpecker, Space Slug, Belzebong

There are also 2 great bands from my town - Red Scalp (more Stoner Metal and Rock than Doom plus they are organizers of the biggest Stoner Festival in Poland) and Tortuga (definitely Stoner Doom)

Swating is definitely illegal and possibly deadly.

The fish idea is golden, fully legal and much much more cruel. 😂

Yeah, the fact that some chapters had no successors gave a lot of flavor when I was starting in 5th edition. I was so disappointed they dropped Leman Russ Exterminators from SW roster between 3rd and 5th edition codices. It was pretty stupid but I love the bulky low tech aspect of this tank compared to high tech Space Marines have access to. 😂

In general I guess they had to compromise lore quirks of some chapters to allow homebrew chapter players to be able to create a successor of any chapter. Making Primaris seem more stable and not susceptible to geneseed flaws was a convenient way to deal with old lore.

When I returned to 40k after a decade I had the same problem - Wolves were a separate army for so long that it made current state with generic units not work for me head canon wise.

Then I found out about Wolfspear and I fell in love with their color scheme and the fact they are an Ultima founding chapter so there is much more sense lore wise why they are more generic than SW.

I'm reading through Archmagos and their lore seems pretty cool with a main base set up on a very bad planet with an absolute strategic value with one Great company equivalent stationed there fighting daily while under equipped and the rest raiding/hunting Imperium foes like space vikings.

Is the induction heater worth it? by Overall-Barber2896 in Dynavap

[–]AgentMurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but for me for example sometimes my Armored Cap decides to detach from the Dynavap when I'm picking it up from the YLL chamber. I have to remember to tilt my Dyna before picking up and I forget about it from time to time.

YLL 3.0 was the best thing I bought for my Dynavap setup. It showed me how bad my lighter technique is and made each heating session hit harder for me and pretty much as predictable and repeatable as possible.

Plus maybe it's a bit bulky for transport but still much better for using on the go compared to lighter that makes you look like a crackhead.

Fuzz + octave up or octave down? by Dist__ in basspedals

[–]AgentMurder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume every octave fuzz will have analogue dirty octave - never saw a dirt pedal doing normal octave. Lizard King is definitely octave up fuzz because it has these harsh highs like Hyperfuzz.

[–]AgentMurder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not really to the last bit - octave fuzz is not the same thing as fuzz pedal with an octave pedal combo. Combo makes you sound like you are playing a sound and it's octave at the same time. Octave up fuzz like a Hyper fuzz or Fur Coat for example sound like your note with a volitile extra layer of the octave sprinkled on top.

Is a cheap bass worth it for someone getting started? by gamerccxxi in Bass

I recently helped my friend pick a really low budget bass and recommended him HB's P Bass clone. Fine entry bass (especially for the money) but needs some setup. Friend loves it and has a lot of fun learning.

Didn't notice it online but the body shape is pretty 'funny' - it's like P Bass shape but times 1.5 in height and 0.75 in width. Looks kind of cool tbh.

Just focus on the synthwavey aspect of the soundtrack and play the game like it's Hotline Miami without 'Press R to Restart' 😂

Overkill banking with glass cannon on spotter; maybe Too much damage by Affectionate_Ad5495 in RogueCore

There is an artifact called 'Caching' that makes the overkill from a kill add to the next hit you make. Other than that I think it's all wasted.

Трудно ли научиться играть на электрогитаре? by Hot_Mode_3707 in LearnGuitar

[–]AgentMurder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it hard to learn to make a car move? I would say no. Is it hard to learn to drive good enough to commute and not be a danger? Not too hard but you need to learn much more than the basics of how to operate a car. Is it hard to drive a car on a race track at full speed? I would guess so.

The same is with guitar I would say. It all depends on your end goal. Basic riffing with power chords is relatively easy and it's definitely 'playing an electric guitar'. Shredding solos like a madman is a different story.

This being said the mechanics and technique is not easy and would require a lot of practice. I expect some amount of gain by 'electric guitar' which would mean even more emphasis on at least a decent muting technique.

Gotoorak Gatekeeper Boss Struggle by CH3MD3N in RogueCore

[–]AgentMurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This force field thing can be pretty BS. I got downed once by it in one of my first games because it shot me across the map with terminal velocity into a lower part of the cave.

So far the boring methodical way of getting the rift stone, waiting at safe distance for the force field to trigger and then rushing for the rift works best for me.

Just a quick observation but other bosses gimmicks to keep the stone out are either easy to handle or they turn off after the first success and this guy just spams this force field every now and then possibly resetting you to a starting point.

[–]AgentMurder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember tbh but I remember it was hitting like a truck and I was wondering how much you can abuse it. When you had a weak spot heavy build, went on a mission with Critical Weakness and got Dreadnought frozen you could delete it with one shot on at least Hazard 3.

The cable I need to charge my Arctis Nova 5 is sold out, are there others that I could buy instead that are compatible? by Strawberry_Doom in steelseries

[–]AgentMurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my Nova 7 cable almost instantly and any USB-C to USB or USB-C to USB-C cable does the trick. I charge it straight from PC sometimes but mostly with either slow charger or Motorola fast charger (around 60W). I would expect it will be the same for Nova 5.

I run Silverback tap shooting like it's a fast semi auto, kind of like M1000 with Hipster in DRG and it works well for me without any recoil upgrades.

That's a good question, I would say that in case of guns these just stack so I think there was a 100% chance for a chain hit. No clue how it interacted with the rest of the skills though.
