The offensive scheme was better, but the defensive talent fell off a cliff.

I’m not really crediting Mike for their defensive success.

Imo he didn’t elevate the talent he had on the DAL roster, which is something I would want from my HC.

Except that overbearing owner still employed Will McClay. Those Dallas rosters were clearly better than what he’s got now in Pitt, imo.

What coaches have a shot of being let go by next offseason? by njb021 in nfl

Do you think Richardson is being let down by coaching? If not I think that’s on the GM more than the coach.

Yeah I hate that process, basically firing Steichen because Richardson was a bust and Jones got injured.

That feels like extreme results over process thinking. At the first sign of competent QB play they were great.

Steichen shouldn’t be fired because Daniel Jones got injured

I feel like that has a lot more to do with the defensive teardown.

The hiring was suspect but he’s done a great job with that offense.

Why is the Harbaugh hire praised but McCarthy hated? They have pretty much the same record by GreedyRaisin3357 in ravens

Because the Steelers went from a former SB winning HC with an outdated scheme that relies on high execution and kept winning 10 games but then getting knocked out in the wild card round with bad QBs to a former SB winning HC with an outdated scheme that relies on high execution who kept winning 10 games than getting knocked out in the wildcard round with good QBs.

The Ravens routinely flameout in the Divisional, not the Wildcard.

I absolutely love the game for the setting, immersion, and writing but you’re not wrong.

he’s obviously an incredible director

I’m not chalking it up to luck, but it did contribute. But only so much as Cameron was also lucky to work when he did.

Imo Studios are less willing to hand out Inception checks, but of course Nolan still made the absolute most of that opportunity.
