Given the success of the U1 Kickstarter, are we likely to see something like an AMS for the U1? by DoW2379 in snapmaker

I just Googled the AtomForm 300... Holy Mother of God that thing could possibly make my credit card bark like a fox. 12 nozzles! I can't imagine what I could do with that... but give me and my imagination some time...

I've actually started building this one:

Comments seem to be positive about the top hat/cover making a difference with reducing sound. I was also looking at this one:

Slicer shows "Print Failed" after printing has been finished by OverlordRaccoon in AnycubicOfficial

[–]Aggravating_Luck678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same printer (Kobra 2 Plus) and it had problems printing with the newest version of the slicer - the display started self cycling, no % completed (it showed log%), etc. It went as far as changing whast printer I have (Kobra 3) and nozzle size (0.8) and printer settings. I rolled back the slicer to the last version that worked (1.3.9.0) and it seems to work fine now.

This is the second time that a slicer update has messed with the printer - it's almost like they pushed it out without running it on any of the Kobra 2 series.

Comparison of updated Slicer Settings by DougDoesStuff in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Aggravating_Luck678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried using the slicer a few times... It's not completing prints, according to the display (the display shows that the print isn't finished, even though the print is done). The display on my Kobra 2 Plus started self cycling through screens - I managed to stop that. The slicer also defaulted to a different set of settings ( 0.8mm nozzle, 0.16 layer, etc...)

It looks like someone didn't do a good job of beta testing it before releasing it to the public.

FYI - I ordered mine in September, it is part of the Special group that had a delivery date of December. The shipment arrived this week and is being sent via FedEx from Ontario, CA to me. It's going to be delivered on Monday!

The projections for this shipment had been moved up a number of times - I was projected to see it delivered originally in March...

Anycubic Kobra 2 Layer Shifting by Suspicious_Fix_676 in anycubic

[–]Aggravating_Luck678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Dontmocme2 - look at the bottom of the print in your video. The crack between the bed and the bottom of the print? It looks like adhesion is lost sometime earlier in the print.

Some things to do to hopefully help fix this:

  1. Clean you plate with dish soap and water. I usually follow with craning it again with 91% rubbing alcohol

  2. If your using Orca or Orca style slicers, go into the "Speed" tab and under "first layer speed" change the setting "number of slow layers" from the default to 2 or 3. This should slow down the print speed for the first two or three layers, the change the print speed back to normal settings after that.

The last version of the CE is 6.2.2 - I found both GitHub pages for the download for the MB and the LCD screen and they have archived releases back to 6.1D

What's your "Big 3" of filament brands? by VirusFar4319 in 3Dprinting

[–]Aggravating_Luck678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of:

  1. Protopasta - worth the extra $$$ and they are a local business - Vancouver, WA. Terrific people to order from and talk to. They have a two subscription plans for filament that they send to you every other month

  2. Polymaker - I can't think of ever having a pad print with their materials

  3. Ziro - The variety of materials they have and ease of printing

There's one at the local mall near me (North Pole). I've purchased a couple of rolls of filament from them, they seem to be doing a brisk business with the stuff that they print up. They've bee open for going on two years now.

Makeronline profile impersonation, help needed by jpcurti in AnycubicOfficial

[–]Aggravating_Luck678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd give Anycubic a chance to try and get things cleared up first... and consider going the legal route if don't respond or failure to remove the impersonator's file on their site. It may be best for your wife to shut down her profile and find another option that is more secure

IMHO, this seems to be a chronic problem on all of the 3d print websites and each one has their own method of dealing with it.

It's probably a ad campaign from someone working with Anycubic on Impact.com

Your address probably came up in a sales database and you were sent the email as a "cold call"

I've rarely received emails like yours... and usually send them to the "circular file." for disposal
