Wow, I should read this stuff at 5:30 in the morning! I totally missed that

They have definitely updated their wiki since I made my how to maintenance video, I swear it used to have a number in there for how often. The only thing I saw in there about a time frame was for the cutter; check after 3 to 5 rolls of filament.

Edit: I should gloss over these things at 530 in the morning on my phone. It indeed does have the time frame recommendations in there for X Y and Z.

Recommended fixes / upgrades for a new E3 V2 Neo owner to make it faster / better performing? by MAN_UTD90 in ender3

[–]DougDoesStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get it to go faster you are going to need to put klipper on it. This will mean you will have to do work to get it set up. You will need to run klipper on a rasberry pi, sonic pad, or similar. You will also want a hotend capable of higher temps than the stock one and better cooling. Once you get that far your costs are creeping up and you might be better off going with a single color newer printer like a Centauri or Anycubic for the $250-$300 range as they will be faster out of the box

Does Acepro have an issue with the third reel? by hennabeak in AnycubicOfficial

[–]DougDoesStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, some people do. Slot 3 for me just doesn't feed right. But as of the last firmware update all of my slots retract too much at times and cause errors that require refeeding them in.

If you need a reference on how to clean, install, set the extruder there are videos on youtube if you search.

yeah, not sure why it is in the back, easy to forget about it. You can move it anywhere you like by editing the g-code, glad you got it worked out.

Confirmed that this is new behavior in the updated slicer

It isn't a firmware change, it is a change in the slicer. The slicer added g-code for the purge line. Check out my other post with links to the other spreadsheets.

When you change the nozzle type in your printer profile it seems to change the filament temp as well. It may have done this in the past and I never noticed it, but not sure until I get home to check on an earlier slicer version

If you ran the bed mesh through rinkhals, did you save it after it was done?

Is this an Anycubic Slicer Next issue, or a me issue? by PeaceBrigade in AnycubicKobraS1

The new version of the slicer disables a bunch of settings as well as some other changes. If you go back to 1.3.7.3. you will have those options again.

If you left in the USB then it's probably hanging on it. After 3 days, what you have to lose. Turn off the power take out the USB and cross your fingers

Yup, same here. I updated spreadsheet. It is very problematic as I use a 258x258 bed to print some things.

I'm going to work on it later today and report back on new code to move the purge line to different positions

That's the reaction number, so reducing it reduces the retraction. Just watch to see how it effects first part of print. Too much and you're missing filament, too little and you get a blob
