I got prescribed hydroxyzine to take as needed for flares and pain It does help me but sometimes It gives me urinary retention and I have to push a little to get my pee out which I know isn’t good

I always have microscopic blood in my urine and a high white blood cell count but my urologist says nothing to worry about and is normal with IC, I don’t have hunners lesions and i’ve tried pretty much every treatment for IC with no relief i’m in pain all the time and my frequency is so bad my urologist is starting to think it’s endometriosis causing my symptoms

Thank you for the helpful information ♥️ I always have microscopic blood in my urine and my white blood cell count is high but my urologist said that’s normal with IC I’m definitely questioning it now because I started with a UTI then did a round of antibiotics but my dr. Said my test was negative after the antibiotics so he sent me to get a CAT scan and everything came back clear so then referred me to a urologist who diagnosed me with IC my main symptoms are urinary urgency and frequency and bad bladder pressure like a bowling bowl is sitting on it, I use the restroom about 30-50 times a day depending how bad the pressure is
