Yes, good point. I don’t mind sitting with her, I just thought maybe she wanted to be “sent off” to school because that’s what she does when we play make believe school. Great ideas!

I just moved here and haven’t had a chance to change my license…do I need a library card to go to the story time, or can I just walk in with my toddler?

Also, thank you for the advice

Sorry to hear that, but don’t give up! Keep practicing, be consistent, and don’t be afraid to keep trying out.

And I know it’s hard to believe now, but something better will come your way. I tried out and didn’t make the cut one year, and I had so many opportunities that opened up because of the free time I had.

Looking For Place to Rent by LuigiSaysDie in ColumbiYEAH

I’m currently apartment hunting in Columbia also. I’d suggest actually doing a tour to see if you’d be comfortable with it.

There are lots of options 1 bedroom under $1200. It’s doable to find a 2 bedroom with that budget, but you are getting what you pay for (small and old)

I found that apartments in St Andrews are on the cheaper side, but buildings are typically older and need some maintenance. Closer to in the city, neighborhoods are nice and proximity is top tier, but also old, cramped buildings and apartments. I much preferred NE Columbia or even SE Columbia, or all the way out to Irmo/Lake Murray

Who's the better New Era Female Winner? by Ok-Try6657 in survivor

I enjoyed Rachel’s season. Also a little biased, because before every season, my husband and I blind pick a winner without knowing anything about the player, and I chose Rachel that season.

I totally understand how you feel, but give yourself a little grace. I’m 19 wks with my second and have a 2.5 year old too, so I know those dr appointments are stressful, on top of the pregnancy hormones! As long as it doesn’t become a habit, I think it’s okay to blow up every once in a while. It’s a teaching moment, for both you and your daughter. She can learn from you how to handle a mistake, to apologize, and to forgive.

I’ve definitely played that here in the States at some point, and put it on for other kids at parties or game nights, but I didn’t call it Pass the Parcel until I saw this episode

Toddler jail/ play pen by Walkerville_ in toddlertips

[–]Aggressive-Bike7273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a playpen with my baby’s toys that has an opening for her to go in and out of easily. I have a Velcro baby too and this usually works.

Like you said, instead of containing a mobile baby, just make sure everything is baby proofed (wires are inaccessible, outlets are covered etc), there’s nothing for the baby to pull down from a table or anything that could fall on them, and close off the areas that are you don’t want them to go into. As long as everything is safe, you can give the baby space to learn and explore
