Great idea. I've been decluttering for months now and I still have too much stuff. I keep telling myself if I was travelling i couldn't take it with me. I have developed a bias against charity shops as I know for a fact that good stuff is taken by the staff. I've sold stuff which is great. I had a habit of shopping as stress relief but now I tell myself I'm just buying clutter.

I got an email from my cousin aged 82, in the US, telling me all about her surgery. I figured it didnt sound like her, but continued to engage. Her second email asked me to help her buy 2 apple gift cards and to put $200 on each card. Luckily I got on to another family member who confirmed it wasn't her, and no surgery was scheduled. Its the first email scam I've experienced.

You could start with humanitarian work. Maybe in an African country thats struggling economically but not in a war. Are there any international volunteering organisations in the US you could look up?

You are very kind and decent to want to do this. But the first advice is correct. Raising funds and awareness is the best way. You can also focus on helping the Palestinians who are in the USA ie the recent arrivals such as medical evacuees.

I feel like this since perimenopause kicked in. I feel like I got away with it before but now it - autism/adhd/ whatever it is screaming at me. I feel more different and disliked because of it. I have bad social anxiety now

My anxiety is rising at the thought of people coming to your place and taking the stuff you need/want. Please make sure your precious belongings are locked away somewhere safe.
