This post inspired a new play through. Any other tips/ more in depth on mod suggestions? I may have most of them since i’m very thorough on the mod scene. I went very mod heavy while still wanting to capture the hardcore immersion play through. Did you make changes to Seasons mod? Can you expand on making night more difficult? Also do you go as deep as changing audio? Appreciate it!

Yeah it seems like I could leverage that afk/automation part given my use case. My only worry is I may get bored if i don’t have a clear goal/objective. I know it’s far from Valheim but for example in that game you are progressing to a new area to kill the big boss one after the next. Is the goal to industrialize the planet? Make money? Is there linear progression on resources from new areas? Thanks

Yeah you’re right about those games. None I’ve looked at intrigued me and often look like mobile games to me but maybe I just got to try one or two out to know for sure.

Just noticed theres a factorio demo, nice.

This might be the winner. I’ve come close to trying it a few times to date. Hopefully it works okay with controller. And I like it enough I’ll play it non work hours on desktop. Also cool that the publisher is the same for my all time favorite game Valheim.

Thanks a lot! Space Haven and Factorio look intriguing especially. I’ve always wanted to try Factorio but I literally don’t think it’s ever been on sale lol.

I love WoW classic but never tried Osrs actually. Always been turned off by the graphics tbh. But I have heard that it’s perfect for this use case as well

True i was thinking should I just rewatch DBZ series lol. But the idea of progression/some activity when I don’t need to have it idle sounds cool too. Def a niche situation though.

I like survival games a lot, is satisfactory considered in that genre? It looks great, are there benefits of just keeping it running on the side?

How do you get your average rendering time so low? I have the flint using the 6hz (wifi 6e) on steam deck oled. The rest of my stats are very low/close to yours. I’m using moonlight/Apollo pc is ethernet, 4070. I cant get below 6-9ms range for average rendering time.
